It is the replace command, but really corbiere is misunderstanding the process of adding anything like a watermark to a build and how it might be removed.  You can't just find a remove the stuff in the text document, it will probably be like a built watermark.

For that matter this whole conversation is stupid.

Uh new update

It seems that badspot has now made it impossible for bricks to exist via any means below where the ground plane is supposed to be, whether it is deleted or not.
If anyone has any solutions or amazing hacky ideas, I would be delighted, but otherwise I am very dissapointed that badspot would do something so mean :(

Loading events is completely different from loading a build.  You can choose events out of a save file that you don't want the bricks from this way.
If you want to load events from a build you loaded, it really needs to be up to the user to be able to identify which set of events go where, there are too many problems with trying to make a client script do this.

Do you need Duplicator to load BuildBot duplications?

No, buildbot is 100% client sided and only requires that the server allows you to build for full functionality.
Simply bind a key to duplicate, highlight the brick you want to start the duplication with using your ghost brick, and press the keybind.

It would also be nice if it loaded events.
It does, but is not very polished especially in the light that I have gotten next to zero feedback about it.
They way it works is that you:
1. wrench a brick and open up the wrench events gui
2. While in the events gui, press your keybind to open up buildbot
3. Select the build that you want to load events from, then click Load>Load events
4. It will hopefully redirect you to a new gui with a long list of all the bricks in that file that have events, the type of brick, and what events are there.
     note: you can access this gui at any time by clicking the new "events" button on bottom of the buildbot v3 gui
5. Select the brick containing the desired events, and click "copy to events clipboard"
6. Close the buildbot gui and you should notice that the event gui is now magically filled with events and the "copy" option is checked.

FTL is a good and pretty cheap game to pass some time.
My favorite game though is Company of Heroes, especially if you go online and get the blitzkrieg mod and map pack.

Even if your build isn't all that complicated, I would love it.

Something like decent looking floating rocks that don't take up an insane number of bricks will do great.
Special super mega thanks to anyone that is able to make like a floating island or something so people can spawn on it IN SPAAAACE

Honestly, couldn't someone just break the saving function with the console whenever you're hosting a server that you don't want people to save in?

I mean seriously, why has nobody ever done this?


While I don't at all support this as an addon, im just curious.
All saving does is write it to a file.

It is handled client sided, that is why

There is sometimes a noticable lag when a new play joins the server.  I'm not sure if it is the file manifest that causes this or the sheer quantity of mods that package all sorts of functions for right when a player joins and so much is happening.

By allowing "richardhead" to spawn in your server you are letting him download all the brick data.  That is what ghosting is.  He doesn't even need to click the save button to already have all the brick data.  All saving does is write it to a file.

Host goddam passworded servers, and you should know better, klocko...

So it was probably a mistake to originally post this in the Environments section where it got a glorious 10 views in the first two days, so I am hoping that the suggestions and requests section is somewhat more active.


I am developing a system that allows builds to be integrated with skyboxes, so that when you change to a new skybox, it will also load up some props or scenery built out of bricks to go with it.

Currently I am planning on doing this first with my Space pack SkyBoxes.

You can see my original post about it here.

If someone has some cool looking space ships or maybe a floating island, I can make builds auto load and unload with the changing of skyboxes.
Post some saves if you would like to be included.  I will probably be able to include many different files and have it load one randomly in a random location if I get enough submissions.  Heck I could even have it load multiple saves at once in different locations, like random asteroid field generation.

Looking for
 - Anything space themed (not necessarily futuristic)
 - Alien landscapes (but remember it should be 3D and include an underside)

I'll make this part of the NARG awards to see who can submit the best content.

Note: Comrade I know you have some nice ships but I believe the brickcount on those is considerably higher than the target brickcount of under 5k bricks

I'm addicted to strategy games, probably because they are the most varied and interesting games.  For me, a game being interesting is a huge aspect in whether or not it is "fun"
Favorites are company of heroes, endless space, galactic civilizations, Civilization (since civ 2), and defense grid.
