Off Topic / Branding
« on: February 02, 2015, 11:49:40 PM »
I want to get a brand on my back with hot iron or maybe a cold liquid nitrogen brand. I want the logo for the band slayer under my left shoulder. Anyone know how I'll go about this? I've been preparing myself by putting cigarettes out on my flesh. Please hook me up with a specialist that will make a slayer branding iron or something.

The fish sailing in its mind are breathing human thoughts and I can't help but feel like I'm trapped in between a game of crochet and her legs.
I ought to go to the dentist but my teeth are digging into my skull and I can't get my tongue untied.
My great uncle died screaming at my nine year old self and I didn't feel to think about what it meant to go away.
I sold homeless nipples on the internet so I could afford a sledge to break the loving door that keeps me away from water.
I'm dying of nothing and my family is so happy.
Friends spewed alphabet soup and it spelled potential.
I got raped by potential and it didn't feel sharp.

Before I'm alive I'm going to build a monument for everyone that was afflicted.

So, I ordered some concert tickets a few weeks ago to see Mastodon, Gojira, and Kvelertak. They're all metal bands. Anyway, today my dad was supposed to pick me after my class at 2:20 to head to Reno, NV to see the concert but he was over an hour late, and he took a 30 minute poop at Taco Bell because he doesn't really eat any fiber. He ended up speeding pretty much as fast as this truck can go (90 mph) so we made it there on time. Once we got there, we parked behind the stadium where the tour busses for the bands were.

During the show I pushed to the front and got to see two of my favourite bands Mastodon and Gojira; it was really neat. My ears are still ringing. During the transition from Gojira to Mastodon, my dad went out to the truck to drink some whiskey. When he came back he told me that he drank almost the whole bottle of Black Velvet and that pissed me off because I don't even have my license to drive. Anyway, I'll get to that in a bit.

After the show, I walk my drunk dad out of the Theater and he scurries off into the casino (the show was at a resort & casino place) so I follow him. I ended up making $9 profit from the penny machines. I bought some merch and we headed to the truck to leave, but on the way to the truck I saw the guitarist of Kvelertak loading equipment into a trailer so I said hi to him (he's Norwegian and doesn't speak much English.) I saw that the back-stage entrance was right there, so my drunk dad was sat in the truck and I went in.

I wandered around a bit, saw some more members of Kvelertak, but the kicker is that I wandered into Mastodon's dressing room. Bill and Brann were sitting there. Bill, the rhythm guitarist was kind of surprised to see me in there and I didn't really know what to say because I'm a fan of them. Anyway, I told Bill I'm a fan and he was just creeped out that I snuck back there, but Brann, the drummer broke the ice and talked to me a bit before security made me exit the building. I told Brann that he's like a metal Napoleon Dynamite and they both laughed.

Anyway, I went back to the truck and decided that my dad shouldn't drive, so I've been driving home, but my dad said to stop at this Safeway so he can go to the bathroom. I've been waiting here for half an hour, and I have class in the morning. It's about a 200 mile drive, I'm probably 1/3 of the way home. No license, but it beats my drunk forgetass of a dad driving us off a cliff.

Games / Rocksmith 2014
« on: March 09, 2014, 09:49:50 PM »

I would describe Rocksmith as a learning tool disguised at a game. I have used it for practicing guitar and bass, and my skills have developed a lot since I started playing the game.

There is a plethora of features to be found in Rocksmith 2014, the most prominent being Learn a Song mode. In Learn a Song mode, the game basically plays similarly to Guitar Hero, except the notes may span the entire fretboard of the actual instrument you are playing (guitar/bass). When you are first beginning, the songs are watered-down. Rocksmith decides to just throw a few notes at you at a time, until you get the hang of it, then it gradually increases the complexity until you are playing it just the way it was recorded. The game registers all kinds of techniques that are used with a guitar, such as hammer-ons pull-offs, slides, bends, harmonics, palm-mutes, etc. The Real-Tone cable just knows. You can unlock new songs by doing missions, you can also buy song-packs as DLC.

Another feature I enjoy is Session Mode. It allows you to program a backing band that plays according to the scale that you are playing. It sounds really sweet and gives you a feel of playing with an actual band. Session mode also gives you some pretty good tutoring about scales, and playing with a band if you follow the in-game missions. Also, the game offers a huge amount of video based, interactive guitar lessons, to help out the newbies, and experienced players too.

Rocksmith has local multiplayer for Score-Attack mode, Session mode, and Learn a Song mode. It works great, you just need to have two of the Real-Tone cables (and two guitars, of course.)

There is a tone designer within Rocksmith, which basically allows you to choose equipment and effects  for the game to synthesise. Allow me to say, the game sounds almost as good as my amplifier through my stereo, and the latency for playing a note is unnoticable. You can unlock new sounds for your guitar, just by playing the game.

Rocksmith also offers arcade-style games to help you practice with techniques, which are pretty fun, to say the least. I have put in a lot of hours just trying to get the achievements in these, and I'm still working at it.

Does anyone else play this? Add me through Steam if you do, I would love to have some friends to compare scores with and stuff. I got it around Christmas time and I'm up to 250 hours through Steam (only counting online sessions.)

Off Topic / I accidentally decapitated my imaginary girlfriend
« on: March 14, 2013, 02:26:59 AM »
I've been dating this darling girl for awhile(I manifested her myself), we hit it off immediatly going for long walks through the park, playing games, and admiring eachother's beauty, grace, and wisdom. Two weeks ago today, we were swordfighting together, like we did often, and I accidentally aimed a bit high and she lost her crown. I feel awful because she was my princess, my best friend, and I wanted to pop the question for us to marry. I don't know what to do, my stomach is constantly turning. Her corpse has already disintegrated through my floor, into oblivion. I can't find the willpower to bring her back. I have turned to binge drinking Tabasco sauce to numb the pain. I fear I will never find love again. :c

Help me.

I am now 16. c:

So far, my sister bought me Hollywood Undead tickets, and a bunch of good weed.

Does anyone want to be my friend?

Protagonist: David
Personality: Unknown
Age: 17
Family: Uncle and Aunt
Time Period: Early Medieval
Culture: Village, Under Tyranny
Occupation: Peasant Man, manages a potato farm.

David is conflicted and refuses to harvest the potatoes, if he doesn't soon, he could be jailed.

12/30 Entry 1
I hate it here and I don't understand why I should be doomed to harvesting potatoes until the king decides to have me change profession. I refuse to harvest any more of this filth, they are rotten right as they sprout. I will tell my Aunt not to interfere if I am to face imprisonment.

David told his Aunt that he will no longer work as a potatoe farmer, she had a meltdown.
12\30 Entry 2
My Uncle told me I must leave early on the morrow. He is sending me off with a sturdy bag, and some potatoes.  I feel this is what must be done.

I fixed a lot of stuff in my life and now I live with my sister. I just got an iPhone today so I'll be more active. Sorry if I've been a jerk to any of you this year (virtually everyone I've chatted with.)

Also sorry for being really creepy.
Actually no I'm not sorry for being creepy.
