Minecraft isn't even that great, it's just that everyone who plays it thinks it is. It's one of those fad games like TF2, even though they suck people like them because they are.

It's really a matter of opinion, though. I think it's one of the best games ever because I find it fun, same as pretty much everyone else who over-hypes it.
