I wouldn't try to start anything...we're lucky enough to have this topic as-is.

Ah, this should actually be
Code: [Select]
cnum = names[random.randint(0, len(names) - 1)]
Because of 0-indexing. That, and I forgot to give the first parameter to randint, haha.

And yeah, len(names) literally translates to "the length of the names array", so if it had 50 names in it, len(names) would be 50.

Use an array.

Code: [Select]
import random

names = ['blah', 'more blah', 'thing', 'foobar', 'examples', 'forget your stuff']
cnum = names[random.randint(len(names))]

You know, NF, you remind me a lot of myself when someone thought you needed to know C++ to use linux, that and when my friends actually thought being gay was a choice and that gay marriage shouldn't be legalized because it would piss off a lot of people.

Off topic, but I suppose it's a little cute when people fight for what they believe in. In that aspect, you and I aren't different, and I respect you for correcting me.

oh for forgets sake night fox
i'd think you'd be the last guy to randomly question another person's opinion like this; and even less so to want to continue discussing/arguing about it afterwards.
He's doing what any normal person would do; speak up when someone calls something stuff that they like a lot.

...I feel like I answered your questions pretty clearly, but okay.

Seems as though you haven't forgotten I'm black this time around.

But yeah, not all animals are bad and the ones that live here, sure, they behave a lot better. That still doesn't steer me anywhere towards them, and I can't change my preference of being as far as possible away from them.

Honestly, writing a word wall because I don't like animals wasn't really necessary.

Of course, you can just turn the filters off, but it's still hilarious that they're actually trying.
Silly Britcigarettes, I can't hear you over my FREEDOM.

if that's why you don't like them, fine. but there's no reason to call them things they aren't
*Things that they can easily be. It's not like all animals are these fluffy sacks of love fluff. In fact, there are probably more animals that act "viciously" than there are "nice" animals living in people's homes, and even the kinds of animals you describe can easily be set off.

And yeah, animals are just uninteresting in general.

It's mostly personal experience. I just get really nervous when I'm around someone's dog or cat (or anything that isn't in a bowl/cage I guess). I can recall there being a specific reason for it but I forget.

Well stuff. Almost cried there for a second.

Must feel like stuff having a life and thought process of your own, only to be shot down because you can actually think for yourself.

just look at how crazy gross and/or vicious this is
absolutely disgusting. I can't stand it
Animals, or at least pets, aren't really that bad. I mean, if they were really that bad, there wouldn't be pets.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to have an opinion.

It would've been better to ask these in the megathread, but the sooner the thread gets locked, the better.

1. No, the minimum requirement to being a furry is if you want to identify yourself as one, and if you like the idea of anthropomorphism, or any art that comes out of it. Simple.

2. This differs from person to person. Admittedly, humanized animals can be arousing, but I personally have a dislike towards animals in general, real or drawn. If it were between a real person and a real furry/anthro, I'd pick the person. However if I were also a furry, I would pick the furry.

Note that, again, #2 differs widely from person to person, and the concept of "furry" doesn't at all revolve around one definite, central belief, just like any other fandom.
