If he was trying to tell you something for 1,183 days (according to the 76 video), and all of the videos somehow line up with one another, how would he have known that gangnam style was going to be made two years after he made the channel?

You are both doing the same exact thing at the same time, there is no strategy other than 'don't forget up'.  It can't even be judged like traditional dance or music contests, as those rely on contestants playing a wide range of different music or different routines.
That's the same logic as saying there's no competition in LoL because the objective for both teams is to kill the other team. Are both competitors supposed to do something different? That wouldn't be very fair, would it?

And yes, the fact that many tournaments revolving around the game today exist should tell you that it can be judged, regardless of whether or not it's "traditional". If you're not going purely off of the highest score, you could perhaps have a "routine" competition; who can make the best "actual dancing" routine to whatever song they please. This kind of competition is common in Pump it Up.

Even then, there are plenty of gamemodes, too. Cooperative gamemodes, in fact, and as I linked in the video, game mechanics that can make any competition interesting and dynamic.

Also, why would a player need to live here?  It's not a team game.
There's a team-based gamemode, and a cooperative gamemode.

And if there were to be more interest in the game, the same as the amount of interest that LoL seems to have built up, giving the same treatment to osu! as was given to LoL would make sense.

but no one plays it competitively.
I honestly hope you're not being serious here.

It seems like you pretty much don't know what the hell you're talking about when it comes to osu!, or rhythm games in general.

Son of a bitch. I killed myself to get my hunger back, but I only respawned with three hunger.

They're catching onto me, agh.

3815
lol @ saying league is dumb but defending osu

if we had a cage for weeaboos you guys would get locked in it just saying
You could call us weeaboos, and we could call you nerds.

In both situations, it's avoiding perfectly valid points, only to take jabs at the other side in an immature matter.

Memorize it like a musician would, easy.
Then get off your ignorant ass and do it.

Sure, you might be able to read the patterns, but the issue is in the skill, dexterity and stamina required to actually hit the notes and get a decent score.

That's, once again, not the point.  it's classified as a sport for getting a visa to live here.  I bet the same could be done with something like chess.
A big for osu! as well, as it's probably one of the most nationally diverse rhythm games out there.

3817
really, i find rhythm games really boring to play (mainly because i'm poop at em)
Yeah, I was on and off of Stepmania way back then. Often got too frustrated to continue playing. Don't know how I ended up here, though.

Well...
Now people dont have to go outside to do sports now.
WE ARE BECOMING LIKE THOSE FAT PEOPLE IN WALL E
It's not like LoL is now the only sport, haha.

3818
might i say, all you have to do is memorize a pattern for games like ddr and just keep practicing that.
league is different every time.
Apply the "mines" mod, which replaces random notes with mines, which if hit, reduce your life. That, and a mod that basically does random unpredictable stuff to the playfield. There are also mods to "scramble" steps.

Even then, predictability isn't something that would make DDR easy, or any game for that matter. No matter how many times you practice, a level 17 song with 12 notes a second is going to drain your stamina instantly every time.

Side note: most people play songs about five times and can pretty much max out their skill on that one song, because nobody memorizes patterns. The only case in which memorization is required, is if there are speed changes in the song which cannot be read normally. Half of the skill is purely in reading the notes. A lot of my friends always ask me "do you memorize all that??" Bitch, you think I feel like memorizing five minutes worth of patterns?

3819
and again, DDR like games involve actual physical activity
have you ever seen a proass DDR player? those guys are loving fit.
A million times this.

I hate it when people don't get this.

3820
Also, LoL definitely takes more skill than a rhythm game.
Excuse me?

3821
i take it said communities aren't playing DDR on pads. i can play a 9 song on Stepmania with my fingers but......
Most don't, but some (r21freak) do. I also met quite a few good DDR players on my last trip to king's island.

Also if it isn't your point then don't stress it.
It's a shame stressing a point isn't the same as simply replying to someone else, haha.

3822
DDR could be a good sport because the learning curve is about 90 degrees up
seriously have you tried playing anything at level 8+ ? holy forget it's INHUMAN
Pretty much, yeah. Even DDR is considered amateur by some communities, though. (It is, kind of. ITG is like three times harder, and Pump it Up is just a massive "forget you".)

3823
Whether or not I'm wrong about that wasn't the point my post at all. It was that, if LoL is a sport, a lot of other games should be considered one as well. I only targeted rhythm games specifically.

3824
I said any idiot could pick up LoL. I didn't say any idiot could "go pro".

...Well, honestly, any idiot could "go pro" with a good amount of time invested. It's the kind of game that's made so that, quite literally, any idiot can play for a while and become good.

The reason I'm not doing it is because it's a stuffty game.

3825
Because I don't feel like typing this again:
Quote from: Skype
[12:14:47 AM] Kingdaro: no stuff wait hold on i'm actually mad because
[12:15:05 AM] Kingdaro: reiterating on what i said about osu! being recognized as a sport, it actually loving should
[12:15:21 AM] Kingdaro: a game like LoL; any idiot could pick it up within a couple months, if not a year
[12:15:37 AM] <omitted>: yea
[12:15:46 AM] Kingdaro: with a rhythm game like osu!, stepmania, k-shoot mania or whatever the forget, it's literally raw, developed skill

And a lot of rhythm games are physical too; "dance" games like DDR, ITG and Pump all require you to bust your balls stepping on panels, often at high speed. Sure you're not running across a field to catch a ball, but it requires plenty of stamina, coordination, and a good sense of rhythm.

Hell, I'd even throw IIDX, Pop'n or K-Shoot mania under the same fields; you only use your hands in these cases, but it's still incredibly intense at higher levels.
