And I don't see why it's always an "all or nothing" situation with this argument, this is not something that can be swapped overnight.
Of course not.

YES the environment is important, But in no way did I ever say we should stay with OIL or anything like that, I only said we have an issue when it comes to pointless regulations, some of which are way out of date.
What regulation? Carbon taxes? River dumping regulations? I had the impression those were a good thing.

We don't need to pull ALL our resources to stop this stuff IMMEDIATELY, there needs to be a switch, but it sure as hell can't happen in a day.
YES, push for this movement, YES make essays and stuff to send to your congressmen, YES this is certainly true.
Absolutely.

But you need to word these things coming from an economic point of view, not a liberal based open heart and mind point of view.

Gather the numbers, gather the information, prove that Solar Energy is more profitable than Fossil Fuels.
I just did that. There's tons of data on this. Solar is (for now) more expensive in the short term, but Fossil Fuels are far more of a liability in the long term.

And honestly, you're right, but that doesn't mean we need to shove stuff tons of loving money into it every year.

And Annoying Orange isn't exactly wrong when he says we have regulations that heed manufacturing for no good reason, and almost certainly waste money.

There are more things going on than the simple "Black Smoke is deadly and bad". Yes we need to limit and protect the environment, unless you like the scent of loving death in the

morning, but that doesn't mean you have to sink your country and economy in the process.
Solar power has caught up very quickly with coal and oil in terms of cost efficiency. Dependence on fossil fuels will only last until 2060 at most. The effects of climate change is already causing havoc as we speak. Short term economic stability is hardly an upside compared to the numerous reasons we have to switch. We should have made the effort to do so years ago, and an EPA head who doesn't believe in environmental protection is the last thing we need right now.

There is no debate.

more likely, climate change will continue to grow in severity as we stand around for four-eight years doing nothing or worse because our president and EPA chief think it's fake news and we pull out of international agreements and domestic policies trying to make objectively good decisions for our planet's environmental well-being
I personally believe the lot of people who don't believe in climate change either do so purely through their party's ideological influence (to gain votes), or from lobbying, since big fossil fuel companies have such a ludicrous foothold in our government right now. We'd have probably moved past this useless debate ages ago if it weren't for that.

The price tag?
Yes.

The cost upfront is one thing, maintenance is another. On top of that, we'll end up having to spend even more money taking the damn thing down.

Additionally, the stigma around illegal immigrants 'pouring into the country' is largely falsified fear-mongering. The number of illegal immigrants in the U.S. has actually been falling over the past couple of years. Only a fraction of illegal immigrants are active criminals. Plus, 40% of illegals actually come in by plane, which is the portion of immigrants who've overstayed their visas. In essence, the problem that the wall's trying to solve isn't a problem.

Oh, and drugs? It's true that anywhere from 75% to 90% of drugs are trafficked in from Mexico. However, I'd wager that the harshly criminal manner in which we treat said drugs is a bigger issue in and of itself. Maybe even a different one. But not an issue solved by a wall.

Architectural and geological issues: the lot of our border is either rivers, privately-owned property, or desert. You'd end up needing to build through people's property, and possibly their houses because of these limitations. We can't build directly onto Mexico's land for obvious reasons.

This information isn't hard to find for yourself. Feel free to have an opinion, but let it be an educated opinion at the very least.

Sad!

What do any of these things have to do with a border wall

Oh wait absolutely nothing
Governments have a budget. If we put too much money into stupid stuff, we won't have any left for the stuff that matters. Remember that $20 trillion debt Annoying Orange loved to go on about so much? He'll end up almost doubling that if he keeps this up.

67
I don't see how anyone could possibly agree with such an objectively colossal waste of money and resources, lmao

I mean, what happened to crumbling infrastructure? stuffty broken overly-expensive healthcare system? The government probably doesn't have the $20 billion worth of spare change to just stuff into a massive, obtrusive block of concrete that's not even going to fix anything worth a damn.

More trance. Trance is fun to make. The robotic bass tone took a while to get right.
