Explain the situation to your coach, and have him call your parents to have a serious discussion with them.

I'm 100% serious about this, it would do a lot of good.

CLARIFICATION: YELLING TO YOUR PARENTS ISNT GOING TO DO stuff IF THEY'RE THIS IGNORANT, THEY NEED YELLING FROM ANOTHER MATURE ADULT
Yeah, scratch a lot of what I said. Tell your coach or a Doctor to tell them everything I said instead

Next time they talk to you about it, you need to stop letting them bully you. They might be your parents, but that's exactly what they're doing.

Your physical health and ability to walk is way more important than football. Tell them your not going to idolize a game and put that above your health. Loyalty to a team is good and all, but no matter how you look at it, it's just a game and no team is worth your life.

It's ridiculous that they would put some sport before the health of their own kid, and then hurt their relationship with you because of it. Seriously, don't let it end there. Refrain as much as you can from letting yourself get angry or emotional, but you need to tell them how it is.

Ive been to a doctor who has sent me to the Physical Therapist
That's not really Dooble's point, he meant that you should try to get your doctor to tell your parents how serious the injury is. If they think you should play football with a screwed up back, they obviously have no understanding of how serious your injury is.

He shouldn't have even been fighting him in the first place, the dispatcher said "We don't need you to follow Trayvon", and he clearly heard them and said "ok" and did it anyway. Now I understand you do not have to listen to the dispatcher, but he was the neighborhood watch, he watches, then calls in suspicious things he sees.
please god dont reply to my comment lest this topic be derailed for 30+ pages

Do another one please
I have a feeling that if I did another it would probably just consist of more moaning, since all the Blockland faces are static images of open mouths, lol

(click the image)

So I recently rediscovered Bad Lip Reading, and it got me thinking:
"What would this be like in Blockland?"

So, I grabbed some random videos people made and dubbed them over with my lip-reading. Although this is my first time reading lips, so it may be a little off.

Actually, for a beginner, this is alright. I mean, you've only made 9 videos so far, and I imagine you're stuck with all free programs. And the beginning did get me to laugh a bit, so I think you did good enough.

In the future though, try to record in a 16:9 ratio if you can. The rest I think you'll be able to learn with practice

I have special eyes

That's the point though- it's not supposed to be recording any noise at all. 'listen' is off and I'm recording with stereo mix, not with my microphone

I guess I can ignore it, but it kind of bothers me that it's doing that, lol

342
If its on skype
disable this

make sure microphone boost is all the way down (I have it high because my mic sucks)

turn the 20db thing to 0 and leave the microphone at 100
Tried this- I know it's not skype now at least, since it didn't change much

Although I do have the boost up, since my mich is kinda crummy too, but turning that down and the mic up just made the playback quieter

I recorded this with stereo mix as the input, 'listen' is still off, so at least I know that it's playing into the stereo mix instead of skype or something.
But on the bright side, this is suprisingly good quality audio compared to when I use it normally. There's like- no noise. ._.

Probably your echo reduction trying to catch up to the change in volume or whatever. Get some headphones, gets rid of the problem immediately.
I normally use headphones, for the most part, yeah, that fixes it. But I do still hear my voice playing through the headphones occasionally, though it's not nearly as bad

Off Topic / My mic is picking up and playing back audio for no reason
« on: November 15, 2013, 08:03:30 PM »
I always thought that I was just hearing things, but apparently my mic is actually doing something I don't think it's supposed to

In control panel, 'listen' is unchecked, but for some reason when I get really close to the mic or talk really loudly into it, it still plays back some audio through my speakers. I never realized it was actually doing this until I started playing music and it rang because of the feedback.

Turning my speakers up very high, I can talk into my mic and hear everything I'm saying being sent right back at me louder, as if I have 'listen' enabled. But it only seems to do that if I talk RIGHT into the mic or if I something is being really loud. Otherwise it seems to act normal
What's going awwwn

This is pretty off-topic, but the title bugs me. It's a pet peeve of mine whenever people put periods after fragments like that online

If you want to use good grammar and everything all the time, fine. But if you're not even writing a whole sentence, or even an idea, why are you putting a period there?

This isn't the case, I know, but I've always imagined that grammar national socialist's do that when their uptightedness about grammar eventually develops into ocd of capitalizing the first letter and putting a period after everything, lol
