I thought that since not very many of these seem to be made yet, it might be useful to make one. This is a topic where I'll post a bunch of things you may or may not know about blockland. Fun little tips and things many people don't know.

1.  Making Clothing Props
By this I mean that if you're say- making a closet or something, you can place "clothing" inside. This can be done by using the mod-
Event_setplayerscalebetter, and Bot events. Simply spawn a bot, and hide all nodes. Then unhide the node you want shown, and use setplayerscalebetter to flatten it.


2. Being Carried By Bots AKA "The Bot Centipede
You can be carried by bots, and if you repeat these steps, you can be carried by a bot, being carried by a bot. Do this long enough and you'll get a "bot centipede." To do this, make a vehicle spawn, above another vehicle spawn. Spawn a horse on the lower spawn, and a bot on the upper spawn. (this can be done with bot events, or you can do it without the bot events by doing -onbottouch>bot>changedatablock>standard player.)
once the bot has mounted the horse, you mount the horse as well. Then, from the hand of the bot, wrench the horse spawn, and respawn the horse. You are now being carried around by a bot.


3.  Wrench Riding
As seen in Sheath's ascii promo video, you can "ride wrenches." To do this, first get bot events (I'm beginning to notice a trend in this thread..) and spawn a horse. use bot events to hide all nodes. Then use setbotweapon, and give it a wrench. You are now "riding a wrench."
Well it looks a bit more like you''re dancing with it (especially if you slow down the timescale)

Or if you want it to look more like you're riding it, use a cow instead of a horse.

You can also always experiment, and use other items like Guns Akimbo ~suggested by facepalm


4.  Controlling Others
...Someday I will add one that doesn't require mods..
This one requires either bot events or FFC, the Mount Mod, and Click Push. What you do, is use either FFC or Bot Events, to make yourself invisible. Once that's done, type in

/mount pants [namehere] Now that you're invisible, and mounted to your victim, use clickpush to control your puppet. You can make them fly around or thrown them to their doom.
[There is no illistration because all you would see is a person in the air, not much]

5.  Sentries in vehicles
I remembered This topic, and although it only has one thing in it, I think it's ok, and I don't want it to be forgotten. So I thought I'd include it here.

6.  Brick Creatures
I imagine this isn't common knowledge since I haven't seen it done anywhere but on my own server. But to make a "brick creature," which is basically a brick with legs, just do the following-
use bot events to hide all nodes. Then unhidenode legs, and skirthip. And voila, you have a cute pet brick to have around the house.
(it's the red thing in the middle with legs.)


You can also use these little guys as Headcrabs!

7.   Force Fields
To do this, you can do one of two things, the first is easiest. Just place a baseplate on top of you. Now you can't be shot, but you can shoot others.
Or the cooler way. Use Zone Events, & Zone Bricks. Place a zone brick (preferably a baseplate) on your base. Now check raycasting, and use the following events:

The rendering is just for looks. And the zone events are only needed if you want a force field around your base that you can shoot out of, but you can't be shot in.

8.   Rainbow Ring
This is a glitch in the graphics, where a rainbow ring in the bricks follows your camera. Just place some transparent plates/baseplates of the color that you want in your rainbow. Then on the top of all these (they should be stacked) place one layer of white transparent 1x1 bricks. Now a rainbow circle should follow your camera.


9.   Widescreen
This isn't too hard to figure out, but if you want a more epic feeling resolution for Blockland, change it to 1280 by 535. (that's the resolution most of these screenies are taken in.)

10.   Better Lamps
This is pretty simple, and the only add-on you might want (but is optional) is The octo cone Just place a hammer, and then on that brick, add some invisible bricks, and a lamp head. ~suggested by Bahamut


11. Rainbow vehicles
I know it's very commonly know, I'm running out of ideas.
The rainbow vehicle can be done in 1 out of 2 ways. If you downloaded the extraevents pack I linked earlier for setplayerscalebetter, than you now have setrandomcolor. If that's true, then simply place a spawn with a vehicle, check the box for recoloring vehicles, and input these events

If you don't have setrandomcolor, you can do it the hard way and manually input colors.

download the 2nd save- it has less mods. Then just look for the 3 mods that I listed needed. I think they're on rtb

Bot Events and Bot Wars should both work I believe.
Well with bot wars, you aren't fighting bots, it's bot vs bot. And it takes a bit more effort to make fightable ai with bot events. I'd like something more like Zapt/gamemode_zombie usable with it.

I do like Slayer, and I switched to it. My only issues with it is that it isn't compatible with any sort of Ai mod. Which I use quite often. So until it's made compatible, I'm stuck using the default minigame options- unless I switch back to default mini, dedi mini, tdm, ect. Which feels like a lot of mods enabled at once. :/

I don't think so. I've had servers with the majority of those mods enabled, and I was fine. I usually have gamemode_zombie, tdm, at least one t+t mod, and a few of the others enabled.

I had some graphics issues earlier today.. I randomly opened a few games and I noticed little glitchy dots all over my screen. So I closed and reopened the game, same thing. So I started opening other games, same thing. I eventually restarted the pc and it fixed itself. lol
As far as this goes however, I have no idea. But at least it isn't corrupting the pictures themselves, and the only person that see's it is you. Since it's just the menu, it probably doesn't matter too much, unless that is- you want a nice looking main menu..

With all the different Tdm, Zombie, and other minigame gamemodes out, it's all getting kind of cluttered and confusing. I think it would be a lot easier if sort of like slayer, (only sort of,) there was one big Minigame mod. With A default minigame option, dedicated minigame option, minigame favorites, kill streaks, assist kills, an ai system (sort of like Zapt/gamemode_zombie, only more for ai in general, rather than zombies,) maybe custom ai to go with it, and maybe even some weapons and such.
     This would eleminate the need for multiple multiple add-ons enabled, like T+T, default minigame, dedicated minigame, tdm, gamemode_zombie/zapt, assist kills, kill streaks, and any other minigame related mods.
     I know this would be a very big project, but I personally think it would be well worth it.
