Quote(s) from the article:
Quote
Demonstrators have blockaded highways, looted shops and forced service stations across Mexico to close in a wave of angry protest triggered by a hike of more than 20% in the government-set price of gasoline.

The announcement of the price increase came on 1 January – when long queues of cars were already forming at pumps because national oil giant Pemex was unable to supply all gas stations due to problems with oil refining and fuel shortages caused by theft.

The so-called gasolinazo – as the price hike is known – added insult to injury, and since then, protests have spiraled. Truckers, taxi drivers and irate individuals have blocked the main highways into Mexico City and major thoroughfares in the capital, prompting bus lines to cancel service.

...

“It’s an economic issue,” said López, 24. “Salaries are not very good. If gasoline goes up, it provokes an inflation in the cost of the items we consume daily,”
he added, reciting a list of common complaints among Mexicans. “The first thing that gets hit are people’s pocketbooks.”

The worst thing about this is that it will undoubtedly be used to fuel the fire of reactionary proto-fascist politics in a way that distracts from the true tragedies of this incident and instead funnels attention into hatred and austerity, whether one is becoming hateful as a result of learning of the incident, or otherwise.

For those who are going to go off a strictly scientific/psychiatric definition and believe that they have no reason to be convinced of the existence of any other kind of gender identity either way, gender dysphoria does exist and is classified as a mental disorder resulting from being transgendered that can only be cured by the afflicted being more in line with their gender identity.

As for those who are more open to any degree whatsoever, I make the following points:
  • Research has suggested that there is neurological evidence for gender identity existing on a spectrum.
  • If these people are serious about identifying as being outside of an established gender binary to that much of an extent, why should we not try being more open about gender standards?
  • If people say that they are, for example, genderfluid mainly for the point of proving themselves different or radical in identity (making themselves stand out), wouldn't being more open about gender standards and identity allow these people to settle on something more rational without making that excuse?

if Annoying Orange wins, it's liberal tears
if clinton wins, it's rigged

that's just how partisan politics work
I think most sane people know Clinton to be a tribal, right-wing imperialist and Annoying Orange to be a fascist either way.

Basically, confederal councils and people's assemblies gradually re-assimilate the means of production and control it democratically as to create a rational, ecological and egalitarian society. If you want to see Communalism in practice, read about Rojava.
Also, here is a more detailed introduction.

Wasn't South Korea a U.S. puppet state anyway?

every time someone deflects with 'but America did it for longer!' it's usually just an attempt to make this incident less worse than it is. The problem is that Russia still did it anyway, and the fact that America has propped up and still propping up insurgencies across the world doesn't change that. If a country was carrying out a genocide against millions of people now, is it really appropriate to suddenly say that 'oh but America is worse because they killed a bunch of Native Americans in the past and took their land' when the discussion is about how crappy it is for Russia to incite a civil war in the Ukraine? Just because someone commits less burglaries than the next guy doesn't mean should excuse the first guy for committing less burglaries.
I'm not sure as to whether I indirectly implied that I was defending Russia, but that comment was to point out a fact, not to assert that Russia is less of an imperialist state than the U.S.

holy loving stuff tho this is some next level revelations
not only is this confirmation that russia rigs elections (which literally everyone knew before anyways) but now they're literally masterminding civil wars...
America's been doing it for longer.

Although the parallels obviously are not the same, I am surprised that more comparisons have not been made between the situation of the Sega Dreamcast and that of the Nintendo Switch.
