He's not harming anyone other then just being annoying.
All he actually does is using the current situation for his advantage.

Look, in online games, mainly games with mic chat, there are dozen of harassers but I don't think that someone got banned from the whole game for just using something like HLSS or similar.
It's the server's responsibility to get rid of pests like him.

Actually one of those DotA games has a system for banning richards in place.  Apparently it works well.

As a super-commie, I firmly believe in the idea that, the freer the people, the better the society. The government telling people they can't download software (which is distinct in "theft" as there are no goods actually stolen in the process) does not rub with me.

So what's the point of developing the game if you can't get the money for servers, licenses, and all that jazz?  Wouldn't most AAA games be losing money?  Sure, you could accept donations, but most games wouldn't even be able to get off the ground.  Look at Half-Life.  Where would valve be if everyone just pirated the game?  I doubt they'd still be here today.  I don't think it would work so well.

Yes. It is wrong. I can't think of a single way to justify it other than what Menen said about no copy existing.

No.  At least I don't think so.  Only works ps3 to PC I guess.  Maybe if sony and the publisher allows (is valve publishing this time or something?)it may happen

He's a richard to loving idiots, or people acting like one. I used to hate him, until I grew the forget up and stopped being an annoying noob. His trolling isn't even that good, and it only really gets to, and works on, noobs.

Because if someone isn't smart enough for you, it's perfectly fine to start randomly harassing him!  What's with all of the richards in this community that are worshiped?

A key revoke because of things he says in chat?
The server hosts/admins can just ban him if they don't want him.

He's been doing this stuff for a long time.  I'd say that's enough to get him banned.
