WHOA: there's duke nukem remake content in the game's package (hehe) at ROTTGame/Content/EnvironmentProps/Legacy

It includes a mario bros movie parody poster, the corkboard from ROTT (explains the pig girl), and many, many others.  It only appears to cover hollywood holocaust though.

This is kind of off-topic but Bisjacs post posed a question:

Do either of the consoles support 1440p or do they really only do 1080p? If so thats pretty disappointing.
PS4 goes up to 4k, probably not very well, but it can.

This guy also stopped using newegg because they wanted to send back his graphics card because he screwed up the RMA.  I wouldn't listen to him.  Also he advertises a pc digital distributor, a bit of a conflict of interest there.

WOW: NEW TECHNOLOGY HASN'T YET MATURED.  loving BIG NEWS.  and I'm "going to stuff" when I hear why the PS4 network is "in shambles"?  wtf.

WOW: You need to keep your disk to play games.

PS4 CoD runs at 720p because of network features.  This guy is a loving idiot.  This makes no loving sense to anyone who knows anything about how games work.

Yeah, wouldn't that be something if the Wii U ran the compatibility version of CoD at 1080p?  Oh wait, not really as that's probably not the same as the PS4 and Xbox One versions.  That's not irony either.

WOW: sony, a company that is competing with Microsoft, also famous for making really invasive DRM had a DRM solution for the PS4?  WHO loving KNEW.

This guy is a loving idiot only posting these videos in order to get him money.  His reasoning is complete stuff.  This is the messiest because we won't be able to play everything online right away (mind you, CoD is releasing launch day, that's online)?  What about every last console generation loving ever?!

WOW: COMPANIES WANT MONEY?! WHO loving KNEW?

1080 was top notch in the ps2/xbox days. (they didnt have it, but it was pc standard then)

its embarrassing now for consoles to do this. they havnt even launched and the hardware is already 2 years out of date, they BETTER have at least the standard bare minimum of 1080p
This is why games from that time don't even go up to 1080p, right?

gross. why does this indie style seem so forced. it's like its a fashion statement to be an indie developer.
What is "indie style"?

This is a pretty simple intro to the system.  Basically, you make an overlay type texture that can be recolored by the RGB channels.

You forgot to mention about how we waited more than 6 months for a translation and a stuffty browser-based DRM AKA GFace crap which all it does is trying to copy Battlelog. Except that it does it about ten times worse.
For the record, there is physically no change from this version and the Russian version that has been out for over an year, except the translation and the Russian version is not filled with browser-based bullcrap.
And Marcem, there are plenty of things to set it apart. You can't just loving say it's like any other f2p (or not) shooters out there just because it has weapons and maps.
Play Alliance of Valiant Arms or Combat Arms (or practically any F2P modern military shooter) then this.  It's practically the same thing.  What sets it apart?

It doesn't ruin the experience, does it?
It's the whole point of the game, of course it does.

and mapping now officially sucks.  It will be impossible to compete with thousands of skins.

EDIT: whoops, forgot to read, they actually added a new tab to the workshop.  I'm stupid. (Doesn't help that Valve's link is to the map tab.)

do you really think that developing a browser or even steam is near the same level of difficulty as developing a whole new operating system?
there are literally tens of thousand of engineers working on windows, what, you want them to all be unpaid?

"Literally tens of thousands of engineers working on windows" lol, are you kidding?  More like 1,000 or so, working on every component, including media player and internet explorer as well as the kernel (this includes graphics such as icons, and making translations).  And they would go unpaid?  Then how do they make Linux right now?

(from http://royal.pingdom.com/2012/04/16/linux-kernel-development-numbers/)
That's a LOT of companies working together (including microsoft) for the free kernel.

It's not the same scale as VLC or Chrome, but it's the same idea, and it clearly works, just as it has for over two decades.
