We where also thinking about the usefulness of a player that could take control of a brick. We realized that not a lot of bricks would have use from being controlled, We will possibly need bricks that would be able to do things to harm or trap a player.

So basically you type a server command while looking at the brick of your choice, then the script gets the brick's datablock, finds the model and generates a quick playertype for you or something like that?

I don't understand most of that, since i don't involve myself in scripts and stuff. but we basically want a player to be able to take control of a brick and use whatever the brick can do, such as shoot a projectile of some sort. The player becomes the brick. We don't know a lot about the possibilities of Blockland and are not expecting this to actually be possible.

Allow me to elaborate on this.

One of our friends got a virus. We where talking on the way home about it. i tried to tell him what i pictured went antivirus got rid of a virus. We got into the discussion of a TDM type battle between Antivirus Players and Evil Virus Players.

There will be 3 levels of each team, For the viruses, The levels would be Tracking Cookie -> Trojan -> Hacker
Cookies would be nothing special, no powers or anything, barely does anything.
The Trojan would be able to disguise as the other team.
The Hacker will be the one able to posses Bricks and even players. player possession would be a random chance of success

The Antivirus Levels are 3rd party software -> Trusted/1st party software -> Support technician
The 3rd party will be like the cookie, nothing special
The Trusted Software will be Stronger and faster, no powers though
The technician can't be possessed by hackers.

The TDM will actually be somewhat of a KOTH. Antivirus will try to capture certain programs needed to get rid of the virus, the virus will do the same to prevent the Antivirus to be able to do anything.

Well, Due to some Errors that Prevent Us working on the Build, Block Friday and the Store Siege in general, are Postponed Untill Further Notice. It may be Friday, it may be Sunday, Its when i get the Errors Sorted out.

It says its a Run time Error In Blockland.exe in My Documents folder. This never happened before and I haven't changed anything. I don't know why this is happening all the sudden.

Anyone know of a solution?

This will only work if there are more customers than employees and if there's more than 10 people in the server.

Are you planning to use limited lives for both or one team?

I set the Team Sort to have more Shoppers that employees, I don't have anything Planed at the moment for a shortage of players, But i will think of something in time. I am hoping that enough players show up so i don't have to Cross this bridge. As for lives, i am also undecided.

Im Planing on doing something like having the Employees Be that No move player-type until the doors are unlocked, but Yes, The employees will have a Small head start. Im thinking of having them spawn near the door to further balance the fairness of weapon grabbing.

A Few Days Ago, Me and my Friend, Tic-Toc26, Came up with an Idea. A Black Friday Siege. We Quickly Went to Work Building a Store.

Each round will last 10-12 minutes. The shoppers will spawn outside in Sidewalk tents, Cars or just in the open. Employees will spawn Inside the store. Nobody has weapons at the start, but the Store has Plenty Scattered Around. When the round starts, The shoppers will run inside and start to capture the Departments

Basically, the Shoppers "Attack" the store and capture the different Departments of the store while the Workers of Block-Mart Defend.

The Server will Start Friday at 4:30 AM and go until 11:30 PM (CST) On The_Crazy_Guy's Server. Those who get there between 4:30 and 5:00 will get a Bonus.

I am on the fence, it is true i dont enjoy the S&S update, but im still gonna play. Maps are not comeing back. No matter how hard the common Blocklander trys
