Add-Ons / IBM XT Startup Sounds and Running Loop
« on: March 14, 2018, 12:29:40 PM »
I realize this is very niche, but I had need of them, so I figured I'd release them in case someone else did as well.

These were made to accompany the IBM XT block model available with the LeetLegacy Vintage Computing brick pack available here posted by LeetZero.

On that page you can download a Sylvanor sound pack that has several sounds, including those of the XT, however I was not satisfied with the quality of them or the lack of a loop for the disks spinning. So I found the video where the original sounds came from and created a compilation of the sounds that I wanted. I filtered, EQ'd, and amplified the sounds giving them, in my opinion a better profile than the ones from Sylvanor.

I also include a loop of the disks spinning.

Obviously this doesn't entirely replace Sylvanor's sounds, as they have the Apple II SFX, but they go well together.

Enjoy this vintage computer goodness.

This is also a poll as I would like to make more odd sound packs in the future.

General Discussion / VM Experimental Server
« on: September 17, 2016, 02:28:04 AM »
I have started a dedicated server with its own personal key.

This server is running on a KVM virtual machine on my own personal server.

This server is experimental, as the name implies, and therefore currently has no rules or restrictions. Do with it what you will. I want to see if it breaks.

I even left an easy to find block that will tell you the admin pass.

Have fun!

« on: September 16, 2014, 10:51:24 PM »
I have a computer that supports up to 6GB (3GB per DIMM) of DDR2.
But I've never even seen, or heard of, such a thing.

I looked on Google, eBay, everywhere, nothing.

I just want to know if such a thing really exists.

Minecraft Cheat fail explained

In Minecraft, when you use Cheat Engine to multiply stuff.
When you do this you can have more than 64 of soPhysician Prescribed Desoxyning is one inventory space.
But sense Minecraft uses a hexadecimal inventory system, it will work at first, but if you save and reload,
it will act as, what I believe to be called, an end over carry, and result in it showing up as 1.
However the scripting in the newer versions of the game prevents any materials from being lost.

Here's how it works.

I'll start.

All who have been flamed, Blarg.

Now if you've ever been flamed you say Blarg.

After you Blarg, you've lost that round, and and someone who hasn't Blarged will start a new round.

Someone must Blarg to start a new round.

On January 9, 2122, the government of the USA decided that it needed a new weapon, a weapon with the power to wipe-out entire cities at a time, but leave structures intact (as, at the time “World War VI” was occurring.)  They code-named it project “War-Ender.”  The result was a virus that could infect, just by the slightest contact, just touching a surface that the virus had come in contact with would most certainly, cause an infection.  However before the virus or it's vaccine were completed the war ended.  As a result of the end of the war, funding for “War-Ender” was cut and the virus went into storage at a hidden storage facility near a small town in California on March 13, 2123.

February 15, 2125, a man from California dies after being rushed to the emergency room with high fever, head ace, and sudden blindness.  The cause of death, a new type of virus, which destroyed his brain within 10 minutes flat, starting at the control center. The hospital becomes quarantined to make sure that there are no traces of the new virus.

February 25, 2125, 13 people in California alone, have died from the new virus, 12  have been diagnosed with it. The state government begins taking precautions to prevent infections. The US government starts to become nervous.

March 11, 2125, the virus has spread to 9 other states, Mexico, and The Canadian Republic (Canada.)   The governments have announced a state of emergency, and released information on the first symptoms of the virus, which were dizziness, upset stomach, fever, heavy breathing, and increased hart rate.  The first survivor of the virus is found.

April 5, 2125, the virus has found its way to all parts of the world.  The number or deaths is in the millions.  Scientists are rushing to find a cure when someone runs across the information on project “War-Ender” and begins attempting to recreate the vaccine.

April 30, 2125, over 99% of the world's known population is infected, a vaccine is deployed throughout the world.  The vaccine fails, countless lives are lost.

May 25,  2125, no one is left for the virus to infect, natural immunity to it is passed on from the survivors to their children.  However before it dies from lack of a host, the virus leaves its mark on mankind's DNA .  Just remember it destroyed man not his technology.

October 3, 2125, after months of struggle, that thing that was once man, once again begins to rebuild. However this time is different.

This is the record of the tragic event known as “The Global Outbreak.”
