We're 16 trillion dollars in debt, there's no way we're ever going to pay that kind of money off. Sometime I think China and other countries we trade with are eventually going to realize that and stop trading with us. And once that happens we're not going to be in a good position. And if we don't have any money to trade with, we might as well be broke

nasa laid the foundation, space exploration should be taken over by private corporations and nasa should spend more time on asteroids and exoplanet discovery

The thing is back in the day you could get Battlefield 1942 and some BF2 expansion packs which had the content of a full game. Today you are paying more for less content with EA and Activision DLC's and the younger generation of gamers has been indoctrinated to accept it as normal.

back in the day not nearly as much work was put into games
back in the day the dollar was worth more
back in the day you didn't have to go to to such extensive (and expensive) lengths to market games
etc etc
