It's a creation clan
We make stuff. This means building, modding, decals, mapping, and all that other stuff. We only DM when a build happens to be perfect for a deathmatch. Any form of creation above is acceptable as an application to the clan. Everyone now needs an application regardless of whether I know you or not.

Attention
Clan members should download the GUI from here if they have not already done so. It opens with Ctrl+F6, and lists the members in-game, aswell as a news collumn.

I know how to make particles emit from the muzzlePoint like the fire on the destructowand, but how do I make a particle emitter from another point, say, the mountPoint of a weapon?

I've been tinkering around with Badspot's AoT hook code, which he's posted here.

I've gotten it working completely, but I need to know how you'd actually break the hook midair, like when you press C in AoT.

Is there a way to do it, and if so, what is it? Or is it not possible with the version of the code posted there? (I'm directing this at anyone who's used the code before, which I believe is three people: Badspot, Jookia and Rudyman.)

How to flatshade in Milkshape

Step 1.
Download the Torque DTS Plus Exporter for Milkshape.

Step 2.
Make your model. Keep it fairly blocky and simple to fit the style of the game.

Step 3.
Open the "Groups" tab, then select the entire model (Edit/Select All) or simply the parts you wish to be flat shaded. Click "Assign", and then click "1" in the Smoothing Groups section. Click the Vertex menu option and click "Unweld". The model should now be flat shaded. Click the Vertex menu option again and Reweld.

Step 4.
Here's the part I've had trouble with: whenever I use the default Torque exporter that comes with Milkshape, it doesn't export Flatshaded. This is where the Torque DTS Plus Exporter comes in - you did install it, right? Each group will need a unique name, and a LOD. A LOD of 9999 only shows up in first person. You should be able to export a flatshaded model.

I'm making a mallet weapon for retail, acts similar to a sword. In third person, the minifig swings his hand to attack. In first person, he doesn't. Why?

Yesterday, a member called "linqo" dynamited Ment, and Ment proceded to tell him that he's a pusillanimous individual, and threatened to have him banned, despite that fact that Ment himself goes around killing everyone else.

Was linqo actually banned, or not?

Help / Installer Corruption

I downloaded the retail demo, which was a two hour download on 45k dialup, and when I tried to install it, it said it was corrupt after installing main.cs, and told me to download a fresh installer.

I'm downloading a fresh installer right now, but seriously, WHAT THE HELL.
