Creativity / Re: Gmod Comic - A girl and her dog

It's hard to understand what's going on due to the composition of the panels. Otherwise posing is decent (except for the first two panels wtf is dog doing in such an awkward pose :cookieMonster:)

Hao2open DSO files? I'm going to try my hand at making some guns.
DSO files can't be opened but TGM has a basic mod system and I've scripted a shotgun mod which you can use for reference in making custom guns: spas12.zip

some old flash stuff:

spathosphere.swf - old stuff i did for a business class in school (yeah i stole the tenpenny tower music)

lemonjetpack.swf - also for the same business class, except this one was my friend's concept, not mine

battleofthebands.swf - interactive webpage advertisement for the battle of the bands assignment in my IT class, its supposed to be viewed in its native resolution otherwise it looks like stuff

doaflip.swf - oldest animation from like two years ago, stick figures (this one's on my dA account too lol)

Non professional art getting critiqued by professionals.
You're just getting pissy because not everyone is blindly praising your work. You posted it here and as such you knowingly subjected it to criticism. If you don't like it then just don't post next time.

Unless you've already played them there's the obvious options of InFamous or Prototype.

Help / Re: Physics turning off...

# Pentium M Processor 760 (1.995 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache)
Nice processor.

This is slow processor designed for laptops, the physics are going to cause some serious drops in performance especially if you're blowing up entire castles. Physics are normally automatically disabled to improve performance when the strain becomes too much for the computer to handle at an acceptable rate.

The arrow disappearing on the bow is not the work of LOD or moving the arrow really far away, it's actually done using Visibility Channels.
You can use the Visibility Channel panel on the right hand side to define which frames of animation the group is invisible for. Remember, the bit you want to disappear must be in it's own group!
All this ever seems to do is make the bolt flicker and never go fully invisible.

It's called a loving Desert Eagle, not a night hawk.
u mad lol

My favourite weapon right now would have to be the half-life 2 magnum because its super cool and very accurate. It is also the only weapon in the game that does not have an ugly model and is not animated extremely poorly.

Also this:

Name: Evoker
Game: Persona 3
Reason: Shooting yourself in the head to perform special moves? forget yes

Games / Re: Games you are waiting for.
« on: August 29, 2009, 02:38:29 AM »
I'm waiting for the two stories to conflict, where you play one chapter from each character's point of view depending on the game. Ex: You play as Gordon along side Chell (or possibly a new subject) in HL2:EP3, and vice versa in Portal 2. That would be cool, especially if they break up at certain parts so you don't know what the other person is doing unless you play the other game. Can you say epic marketing technique?
This would be a cool idea, but for some reason I just can't see the two games converging in any way more than just a few passing references.  :panda:
