The day to Half Life 3 may be closer than we think! Some files were found in DOTA 2 hints at things Half- Life 3 may have. I remember an old source saying Valve wanted Half-Life 3 to be more of an RPG.

Off Topic / Going to New York or getting braces. I need help deciding.

So I want a set of unbiased eyes for this situation. But basically, my school in Arizona is offering a cheap 5-day trip to New York for a total of $1300 by January 2016 but it would force my parents to have to cancel a dentist appointment to get braces on Monday which is $1900. My Mom argued the importance of braces which I know are necessary (especially given the teeth I have) and that I would go to Turkey in 2016 anyway. My Dad is indifferent to the choice I make. I certainly love the idea of visiting the country but I also think it's important to get braces as there could be problems further along in my life. I have very little time to think about this thoroughly but I hope BLF will at least make me consider the facts in a different perspective. First world problems

Here are the facts:
- Want to go to New York
- I think braces are important
- I have some rather crooked teeth
- New York is cheaper
- Will be going to Turkey in Summer 2016 (Also never went there)

So should I take the school trip to New York or get braces?

Suggestions & Requests / Improved Side-Scrolling/Top Down Playertype (Look inside for details)

I remember Filipe's Jumpman Playertype and how it could be combined with a camera add-on or something as to change the view to something a bit more like Super Mario 3D Land/World LINK. But what always bothered me was that you needed the mouse to turn your player to where they wanted to go. What I'm trying to ask for is a way to remove the need of a mouse and rely on the keys to play this style of gameplay. It could perhaps be some modified playertypes or some sort of system to force this onto the server.

What I had in mind: Pressing W would force your player to look north and therefore move straight north, pressing D would make them look east and therefore move straight east, A for West, and S for South. And obviously combing keys would make your player go diagonal.

This could also come in handy for some top-down gamemodes, like Legend of Zelda (NES). I just hope this is doable.

So assuming you have a calendar with the month first and you are not a filthy commie,
today should in fact be Pi Day (3.1415) and if you want to take it further, at 9:26:53 am/pm it will be 3.141592653.

My Rock Candy Xbox 360 controller keeps screwing around with me, it moves to the bottom left corner without any input from my end. I have tried calibrating and using numerous ports but nothing is working.

Off Topic / "The Interview" Release Cancelled by Sony Pictures due to North Korea's Threats

Sony Pictures was hacked recently it was found that North Korea ordered the hacking. The reason for this hacking was due to the film "The Interview" starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, the plot involves killing the North Korean leader Dennis Rodman's Pal. This did not go well with Kim and had the entire Sony Pictures Studio hacked and leaked out it's contents. They even claimed that there would be consequences to releasing this film.

Day's Later, Sony finally cancels the film from releasing on Christmas day due to these threats.

Secure Containment Procedures
This is my attempt at recreating an SCP Containment Breach map for Blockland at a near 1:1 scale. I aim to use as little brick related add-ons to try and achieve the atmosphere in the game this is based off of. By the end of this project's lifespan, I will post the save and provide all the add-ons needed to have the full build and events.

Games / Problem Installing Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag

So recently I bought and NVIDIA GTX 760 and it comes with two free games (Assassin's Creed 4 and Splinter Cell Blacklist). I just got the codes today but don't have the video card delivered just yet. I attempt to install both games, Splinter Cell does fine while Assassin's Creed can't seem to install. "Download failed. Check that you have an active internet connection and sufficient space on your hard drive and click retry to start the download again or try again later." I have a good internet speed and also over 1TB on my hard drive. Is it perhaps that I just need the graphics card upgrade? I doubt it but I'm not sure. Gonna go to sleep and see what anyone writes tomorrow.

Help / Terrain 4x Bricks Fail to Load

I have a build saved using the Terrain Bricks but after loading it  I noticed that the 4x bricks never load. So I saved the build with new 4x bricks and loaded it again with the same bricks go missing. What is the issue?

Help / My Custom Face Won't Show

So I spent a really long time creating a face called Jester. What I did was make 2 faces one is 256x256 and the other is 64x64. I saved both as a PNG file and placed the 64x64 face into the Thumbs folder (both have the same name). I sent both into a compressed ZIP File and named it Face_jester. I placed the file into the Add-Ons folder, nothing happened. It won't show up on my Avatar Changer. Could anyone possibly help?
