Modification Help / Re: And another weapon pack
« on: February 17, 2011, 07:11:27 PM »

And what do you want me to do about it? Banning for it? Actually this would be the only solution since I won't weaken the knife or tomahawk. The latter would never be used since it's going to be single-use. I won't weaken the already weak explosives (radius damage not working properly) nor the sniper rifles.

I was just trying to give my input on your server so you could try to take it however you may to improve your server quality. Of all the weapons I mentioned, the only one I dislike and feel is bad is the tomahawk. I know it still has much more to be added, so I will not give a full opinion until later. However, I do Believe that it needs more gravity when thrown.

I personally feel neutral about Obama. He's not the worst, he's not the best.In due time, he'll just be like the whole bunch of other presidents who didn't do something groundbreaking.
In fact, I think that's why so many hate him. People always assume that presidents have to turn out like Lincoln or FDR. In fact, most of them just help regulate America and not much else.

I don't get why everyone's so worked up about the health care bill.
"My money will probably go to a cancer patient or research for AIDS or helping a drug addict who really can't help himself because drugs screw you up psychologically or even just giving flu vaccines to small children, but a few cents will go to an obese dude and that's unacceptable!"
Bleh.

Because the OP posted a topic. People do a lot of bad stuff. Doesn't mean you go all or nothing.
Holy stuff dude, no need to get all worked up about that.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the server has basically turned into Lol of Duty: Block Ops. People running around swinging wildly with knives and spamming tomahawks and getting massive points because of it, players going around and using sniper rifles in close combat, and explosive weapons (lol, RPG-7) being used like any other normal weapons (noob tubes). I last played yesterday.

Also, FG42 is win. There was once a someone (it was .:taboo:.) in a building to the left of my base who was racking up points. I had an FG42 and was expecting to see him taking a break in cover, where I could use the element of surprise to help me tear him to shreds. Instead, what I found once I left the safety of my base was two enemies, both facing towards me, both ready. I ran as fast As I could, for cover, to the side of the building they were in, hoping to do as much damage as I could before my inevitable daeth by running past them guns a blazing. Not only did I make it to the cover, but when I did so I quickly glanced at the top left of my screen to find that I had killed them both. Maybe firing wildly can work in the right situation.

There is some much wrong with this that I can't even begin to start ( but if you're really so curious, I can go in to detail).

Also, let me explain the monetary system.
So think of everything that can be purchased. Now give each thing a point value. now, name these points "dollars" or "shillings" or 'pounds" or whatever you may please. Now, give each point a physical entity. Now, instead of exchanging an item of yours for every purchase you make, exchange points. You get what you want and the person you do trade with gains more points with which they can trade. Whenever you (or, perhaps, the big group in which you work) give away something you (or the group you work in, who will give some of these points to you) gain more of these points.
Inflation happens when more of these physical entities for the points are produced, thus, each person gets more. This causes each single point to have more value. Now, everyone has more points, but the same buying power.

This is, as best as I can put it, a monetary system. Just points assigned to each item.

General Discussion / Re: Definition of "Spam"

Both examples the OP used can be justified.

If you use 12 1x1x5s, then it could easily be for texture purposes, such as trying to get the effect of wood planks. I do this all the time in my western build.

If you use 3 1x4x5s then it could be that it is easier to calculate measurements that way, like the the base you are using is 32x32. Or if you just don't want to have an uneven bit at the end.

I agree, today's society is so flawed!
I wish I lived in medieval times, back when people were slaughtered in masses because of their religion, burned alive because of their loveual orientations, drowned because someone felt like calling them a witch, and two thirds of the remaining population was killed by black plague! Such lovely times!

People always complain about modern society, not realizing that the only reason they even think it's bad is because [some portions of] the media told them to. Fox news would be out of business any other way. Ever heard of fear mongering?

Also, zietgeist isn't communism, it's anarchy.

Ooh, I have one that I made up!

What's the good thing about cancer?

Nothing, it is a horrible, life-taking-family ruining disease, and to derive humor from it would be a horribly sick, twisted, cruel thing to do.
