yeah but guess loving what thats caused by the usa killing sadam and letting things go to loving chaos. sadam was a richardhole but atleast he had some sort of order

such a great loving liberation
while yeah that was pretty dumb it's important not to focus on negative history; it's likely the middle east would be just as stuffty otherwise

The best way to keep minors from smoking marijuana would be instead of condemning the drug, would be to educate them in the actual legitimate dangers and teach them real responsibilities. It's been proven that if you demonize the drug, it's going to make them want to try it that much more.
also this; remember how well the prohibition went? that didn't backfire at all...

correlation does not mean causation
this

first, generally less intelligent people are more likely to use drugs (for serious ones, because they're not so dumb as to warrant the side effects; for stuff like marijuana, maybe they're just fine relieving stress on their own)

second, yeah of course people who smoke at a young age are going to have issues but as Swholli said there's an age restriction
alcohol doesn't permanently lower IQ in adults if dranken at normal levels, but if it's a 7-year-old of course it will

Weed lowers your intelligence. "It kills cancer cells!" It kills every type of cell in your body, along with brain cells.
Usually the epidomy of trash work at MD's. They consist of heavy marijuana usage and when they get their minimum wage check, they go but more weed because their emotionally addicted/relied upon.
are you seriously generalizing an entry-level job? what the forget lol
people don't just work at McDonald's because they have no life, it's because you need to get job experience before another, better place will hire you
it's a ladder. you get experience at MD's, use that experience and money to get a better job and pay for necessities until you can get a better job
since this is obviously going straight over your head, imagine a levelling system in an RPG
you need to get to level 1 before you can get to level 10
as you garner experience points you go up in levels and can even pick new skills
you also get money to buy new equipment

although people who are really, really stuffty at the game don't tend to rise up in levels too quickly

Anything that can affect the brain if legalized should be limited to ages 25+ because that is when your brain stop growing
I would say 18 is fine. Yes, your brain is still growing, but if you're getting hella drunk and/or high and end up with brain damage you sorta deserved it
Not to mention that scientific proof of brain damage is disputed at best

If Marijuana is legalized that means that the government can both regulate it and tax it

Do you guys really want this?
yes (although I don't smoke myself)
it means that marijuana won't be laced with anything and taxing allows more federal income
and because there will be a larger supply and it doesn't need to be sold on the black market, prices will still drop

>tfw you actually listen to NPR instead of using it for white noise
Lol NPR
i use the website lol not the actual radio
it's intended for syndication, which generally means it's fairly objective since it's meant for other news agencies to select and interpret it
it's accused of bias equally by both sides, so it probably isn't that biased

also BBC is pretty good, obviously it has more international and British news but it does have an American section

It doesn't matter what newspaper or news company you visit, the comments sections on those places are awful from both sides of the political spectrum.
That's true, but it's generally worse for Fox and CNN because they're so reactionary/radical and because more informed individuals tend to visit other news sites as well (such as NPR).

Fox and CNN are awful for news. One is very left winged, other is very right wing. Both a crock of stuff
Yep.
I've ventured into the comments on Fox news - it's a scary place. I don't have enough fingers to count the number of Confederate flags and times I've heard "those Marxist muslim terrorist liberals HATE America!!!" (and I've heard that exact description about Obama. He may be a pretty crappy president, but seriously?) I would expect CNN would be the same, but they don't allow comments on their articles.
