[MASTERMIND]
There is a code. You must guess it.

This is a forum version of the board game Mastermind. The concept of simple: guess numbers until you get it right; however, you have some information to work off of. After a guess, I will post a response in the form of a colored version of the code. If a number is...
  • RED  : That number is incorrect; it does not appear in the code.
  • AMBER: That number is misplaced; it appears in the code, but in a different place.
  • GREEN: That number is correct; it is the right number in the right place.
You have a limited number of guesses to get the code right. Good luck! (Digits are 0-9, naturally. Code is randomly generated, don't bother with trying to guess special numbers.)

Game 1: 4 decimal digits
Passed in 4 guesses out of 15
Difficulty: 10,000/15 = 673
Code: 9583

Game 2: 4 hexadecimal digits
Passed in 10 guesses out of 15
Difficulty: 65,536/15 = 4369
Code: 3123

Game 3: 4 letters
Not yet started
Difficulty: 456,976/15 = 30495
Code: ????

although byzantium does have the trait to choose whether to be part of the crusaders or the mujahideen, they had already made the decision to join the mujahideen in the third crusade
that makes a lot of sense, thanks

2736
why is byzantium green?
shouldn't it at least be some kind of dual green/yellow, because they're the leader of eastern orthodoxy

2737

we're beginning in the high middle ages with a little bit of reshuffling

kingdoms of norway, denmark, and sweden will be playable if those are the vikings you're looking for
what i meant was
are they christian yet
which they completed during the high middle ages, so it is reasonable for the scandinavians to stay norse

kalmar union

perhaps one of us can be norway and the other sweden
and we will restore the nordic way together!

i'll take norway

Okay wasn't gonna write an essay but you putting right in quotation makrs irked me to no end..
[rant]

Nations today take their right to express their opinion for granted constantly, especially in USA in my experience. It is a norm for you that you have enough security to worry about gimmicky stuff like pledge of allegiance. The freedom your ancestors fought for, died for, was so you wouldn't have to hide your flag in your backyard in a box praying for the conditions to change. As an Estonian I have the privilege to know how much it means to have the right to wave your flag, own it even, and celebrate your country how you see fit. Since I wasn't born yet/very young I have no first-hand experience, but my parents lived the better part of their lives under soviet rule. My mother tells me stories about how once she found a small estonian flag, you know, the ones with the wooden stick the size of your finger, in the cupboard and told his parents, they didn't exchange a word about it and it was gone by tomorrow. There was so much fear about snitches, you could literally tell your neighbor was an estonian nationalist and get them in a lot of hot water, into gulag if he had an something like a flag or something. More rebellious youngsters used to gather in more isolated places and while camping carefully sing songs about freedom, what they really wanted. Do not make the mistake of taking what your ancestors fought for, paid for with their lives for granted, I know I won't.

I understand where you're coming from (and the illegal occupation of the Baltics was really tragic and horrible), but technically it wasn't Estonia at the time, so you did have the right to have pride in your country; you just didn't have the right not to.

holy stuff are you americans legit crazy

if we were near-forced to sing along to ROSSIYA SVYASCHENNAYA NASHA DERZHAVA every single school day, we'd all go batstuff insane in a week max
It's a really alien concept to me. We don't have much anything like it.
In my Junior School, which was a Church of England school, we would have a weekly religious assembly (which you didn't have to go to and most non-christians didn't), and a local vicar would visit, give bible stories/lessons and we'd sing some christian songs. The only thing we always did was the Lord's Prayer. But no one was going to force you to say it.
And this was unique to CofE schools.

In regards to  the National Anthem, that is pretty much never taught in schools, or at least wasn't in mine.
I'm kind of ashamed that I don't really know it.

okay so while i totally agree with the point that the pledge is dumb and ultranationalistic, it seems many non-americans have confused the pledge with the anthem

the pledge of allegiance takes about 30 seconds at most, there's no music, it's just mindless chanting. nothing that'll make you go insane.
in general i just stand and look at the flag to give the impression that i even like this country so my super patriotic teacher doesn't think i did 9/11

dear god i want to move to norway or canada or switzerland or austria or new zealand or literally any western country other than the USA

You READY?

yes that is what I did
http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=541524337

It's a strategy game revolving around the historical colonization of Africa - the description and rulebook contain more information.  The rules are likely to be rebalanced in the future as I test it more, and I'll probably make a deck of event cards, but for now it's quite playable.

I'd appreciate any sort of feedback on what parts of the game you find fun (if any) and which ones you find weak.

also I'm willing to play a game with anyone if you'd like
