Instead of a tie being decides by a coin toss there should either be a second round with the top 2 only or allow people to make party coalitions.
Do remember that this is a proportional system, so it's not a vote for a single leader, it's a vote to get seats. Basically, if a party gets 20% of the vote, they receive approximately 20% of the seats. More specifically, I'm using the remainders method, which works like this:
1. Each party's votes are multiplied by (total seats)/(total votes) to get a number.
2. Each party receives seats according to the integer part of that number.
3. The remaining seats are granted in decreasing order of the decimal part of that number.

So say Party A gets 22 votes, Party B gets 8 votes, Party C gets 4 votes, and Party D gets 16 votes, for a total of 50 votes. There are 10 seats available.
A will receive approx 4.40 seats.
B will receive approx 1.60 seats.
C will receive approx 0.80 seats.
D will receive approx 3.20 seats.

Initially, A will receive 4 seats, B will receive 1 seat, C will receive 0 seats, and D will receive 3 seats. This makes up 8 seats, but there are still 2 to be filled. This will go to C and B, since they have the highest decimal parts. So the total makeup is A 4, B 2, C 1, and D 3. However, if the decimal parts are a tie (so for instance, A had 4.50, and B had 1.50), you need a method to break that tie.

no replacements

we want a new party
there'd only be one person left in the liberal party anyway but whatever. i am adding NO NEW PARTIES AT ALL from here on out

leaders of the default parties are encouraged to submit slogans to replace the white text underneath. make them really short though, there's not much room

im kinda confused about why we're limited to only 9 parties. why not have an unlimited amount? you could make is so that only parties with 2 or more pledges will be added, to avoid bloat.
i'm trying to limit the number of parties because proportional voting works best when you don't have really split up votes, otherwise no party will get more than a single seat
if i start adding new parties it's going to be a slippery slope and by the end of the day there will be like 50 parties

updated op
the big party has 7 members, communist party has 5, socialist has 4, fascist and nationalist both have 3, the others all have 2, except for the conservative party with only 1

as such, if more than 1 person want to form a new party before another person joins the conservatives, i will replace the conservative party and make cooolguy an independent

Elections will take place Thursday, July 6. Feel free to campaign until then! You can still join parties in the meantime, don't worry. Parties will need to post party lists by the end of elections. If I don't receive them, I'll just use the order of members in OP.
