If that was my laptop I would have thrown it in the dumpster by now.
Old hardware can always be reused.

flashdrive is 8gb lol
that's what i just installed DBAN on and tested out
same error

Okay, if you make an install CD/DVD of something, then you could select your flash drive as what you want to install it on. And some distributions are really loving small. 8 gigs should be plenty for something like Lubuntu or Puppy Linux.

Puppy linux is designed to be booted from a flash drive or disc. So if you have puppy linux on your flash drive, you could boot into it on any computer.

You don't have to install Puppy (to hard disk) to use it. Simply burn the ISO to CD/DVD and boot the PC or laptop with it. Once booted, you can then install it to USB flash (see the Setup menu), so you can use it for booting the PC when a CD is not available.

You don't have to save data to hard drive to work with Puppy. You can save data to USB flash or even to Internet storage (like www.drop.io ). When installed to USB flash, Puppy consumes only a little over 100 MB, or about 256 MB with OpenOffice. You can use the same USB flash (where Puppy is installed) for saving data.

i prefer to use alarm (arch linux arm)
Arch is best.

Hard drive failure. How big is that flash drive of yours? You could use that instead.

Are you me. That just happened to me.
Like seriously. It's even an acer aspire.
I used DBAN when I wasn't able to install Manjaro XFCE edition, but the hard drive failed.
Anyway, based on our situations, I think acer sucks at hard drives.

Buuump.
New discussion: What is your favorite desktop environment or window manager and why?

I prefer XFCE as my main environment, but I also like to have i3 installed and configured so that I can use that if XFCE forgets up. I use Arch, so an update can really mess up your system. It's a good idea to have a backup WM installed alongside your main DE/WM if you have arch. If all else fails though, I'd just use tmux in the cli to fix it.

Amazing bump.

There must be something that I don't understand here. From my perspective, triggers are just words that make people mad for no reason. I really hope there is something I'm missing.

I have a bad feeling that sonic boom will be just another bad sonic game
I think that it is most definitely going to be bad. I just hope that this doesn't turn into a series of games following this cannon.
