Holy stuff. The creeper is spreading.

There's a strong possibility this will happen.Yey. Start with Launchpad. Launchpad allows you to have your own APT repository. That way, any future syerjchep software can be downloaded and installed from the command line via the apt-add-repository and apt-get commands. Provided you are using Debian or Ubuntu, of course.
id love to build myself my own laptop since the one I have right now blowsI didn't even know you could build a laptop. Jesus, that would be hard considering the small amount of room given. Unless you want a bulky-ass laptop.
yes, I do know, but you won't be able to run games that good, since first of all, running 2 operating systems at once will hog up the system resources, and the windows box won't fully utilize the hardware power. you wont be able to run games at anywhere above 10 fpsI use LXDE which is the most lightweight DE available for Ubuntu. I'll get at most 15. I don't mind having a slow FPS on certain games. As long as it's better than what I have now then I'm fine.
Please stop being so stubborn, Omicron knows what he's talking about. You made this thread for a reason, he's here to provide assistance. If you ignore him you're going to realize you were wrong when it's too late.Ok sorry :(

what??Long Term Support. The current LTS release is from 2012. New one is coming next month.
works with far from all windows gamesI don't think you know what VirtualBox is.
you have a completely different CPU (intel) and integrated GPU (intel HD). this CPU (AMD) is designed to run games without a video card.Alright. I'll take your word for it.
you aren't going to get a build with a seperate video card for 350. not even 400.
hard to useYou can't say it's hard to use just because it works differently and is unfamiliar. I actually prefer to preform most tasks from the terminal.
some hardware not supportedSounds like someone installed the LTS release.
many games cannot runThere are many tools to run Windows-based software on any Linux platform, such as Wine or VirtualBox.
Please know what you're talking about before you go spouting off stuff like you do. That's an APU, it's a GPU and CPU in one, I made a ~$300 build for my younger brtoher using one, it can play most games on low-medium well. Second, stock cooling usually work perfectly unless you a. Have an awful case/ventilation or b. plan to overclock.I thought the CPU was just a normal one. Sorry.
Though I'm not OP I was looking for a build tooThere is still no GPU or cooling fan. I don't think it will run. And if it does, it won't last very long without cooling.
Thanks
