It was neat, but not as good as I wished it could have been.

I'm only half ok with them not revealing his identity

The hell no its not

The admins are egotistical cunts that will permaban you for killing a janitor or clown when you're not a traitor, it lags like stuff, and all of the other servers have much much more content than Gibbed does.

Do you have downs? "HAHA ITS OK TO KILL PPL THEY ARE LOWER THAN ASSISTANTS LOL!!!!!" Yeah, no. You can beat the clown but seriously killing it is literally taking the ability to play that round away from the person playing. Which is a richard move when you aren't a traitor.

How about you just don't be stuff?

I used to play the stuff out of this game on g4 but I've kinda fallen off. My name is "Chef Buttes" in game just in case anyone happens to see me playing occasionally.

uh
the great london fire was in 1666. so it's impossible for pyro to have caused it
also, that street is the same street sherlock holmes lives on. baker street. however we still don't know if this has any correlation.

The pre-update was sherlocky themed. That picture has been existing.

To the people who say "No don't reveal his identity";

If they don't reveal his identity then they'd better NOT(as in lack of) reveal it in an interesting and satisfying way that doesn't leave people feeling empty and sad. Seriously it IS one of the biggest mysteries and it must be solved

One of my friends think the pyro hides it's identity because it's the administrator/a clone of the administrator.

It sounds semi-plausible and a good twist but also kinda pulled out of thin air.

I really hope he's a disgruntled Mexican janitor. All of his unique weapons are made from junk or just normal items thrown together, and his hats are mostly junk too. Save the Halloween stuff, but even some of that is junk.

I got myself a Viper SMG ammo (I've had the smg for ages) then I managed to get into the next zone.
loving walked into an anomaly and almost died.

Too bad you aren't playing on AMK. The only way to know they are there is to look closely or buy a 10,000 dollar piece of equipment to get the crackle.

Rule of thumb; if you're playing a mod which makes gameplay and balancing changes always carry a shotgun

Yeah I was completely unprepared for the first tunnel you go through. I only had an ak47 and a mp5 so I had to reload 20 times and eventually I just cheesed a little bit and threw a grenade into the room the bloodsucker was in.

Pretty much, but it's fun to play.
You'll probably need at least 6GB of RAM to play it comfortably though, with 4GB of RAM I run out of memory a lot while playing it.
Truth be told I haven't had many problems aside from running out of memory, if you've completed STALKER SoC at least once it's definitely worth trying out though

I'll keep it in mind.

So I'm assuming in AMK you really need to carry a shot gun at all times of the day in order to kill mutants, because automatic rifles do stuff all to bloodsuckers.

STALKERSoup is also a fun megamod, makes the game oppressively difficult even on the easiest difficulty and expands the world a whole lot.
When I say megamod, I mean mega, it's about 13 GB unpacked and it's basically an English port of the famous Russian megamod Peoplesoup.

Here's a link to the moddb page; http://www.moddb.com/mods/stalkersoup

It's not something you should play before completing the game at least once, though, it changes the story quite a bit

I've heard it is really good but also nonsensical and even more glitchy than the un-modded game

AMK modifies the game mechanics, STALKER Complete 2009 is purely cosmetical.

N-No COMPLETE makes the game baby mode. It literally makes the game super easy especially on master difficulty due to 100% loving accurate guns so you can hide in a thin bush and shoot the guys who see you but hold their fire right in their heads.

Either play vanilla or AMK. If you happen to go to /vg/ just look for the STALKER thread there and it also has a AMK package that includes COMPLETE's textures and graphical improvements without making it piss easy.
