« on: July 01, 2011, 06:35:21 AM »Well if you have withdrawl from weed doesn't that make it an addiction :p?Withdrawal is just simply your body having an adverse reaction due to it getting used to something constantly being in it and then having it removed. It's a result of gaining tolerance to effects such as increased hunger and sleepiness, as the tolerance makes the body take those effects as "normal" and thus when it goes to the real normal, you feel less hungry and tired.
(just throwing that out there)

Long term affects? Varies, depending on what other source you want to blame symptoms on. If you choose to ignore the fact that it's often addictive, I'd say the anxiety/nervousness. Anxious thoughts can take root in your brain if you're affected by it too much, no matter how irrational they can be.
"UR LUNGS" do indeed get forgeted, inhaling anything other then then standard mix of oxygen and nitrogen. I don't see why you want to keep this out of the argument.
As for the "addictive" thing, then with that logic procrastination is addictive because so many loving people do it on a regular basis and won't stop, so chastity belts for everyone!
Anxiety only happens in a select few and you really can't even use anxiety as that much of an argument if you haven't even experienced the effects.
And if your lungs getting forgeted is such a concern, there ARE ways to consume it without inhaling combusted plant matter, but I doubt that's much of an issue because you know, Michael Phelps smokes weed, and he's still in good enough physical condition to be an olympic level swimmer despite his lungs being "forgeted"

There is a bill that is probably going to DECRIMINALIZE it on a federal level, which means things like the DEA can't raid medical dispensaries and states can legalize it individually.

I'd suggest painting from a reference for your first couple of paintings, since you kind of get a better hand on things like perspective and anatomy when doing this (if you want a comparison, compare my first to my second. my second painting was from a reference).
Something that's probably pretty obvious but was helpful to me, is that you can draw on your canvas with a pencil or a pen so you have a general idea of what you're going to be painting before you actually paint it. It's helpful if you use washes for base coats because the marks show through washes.
