it was the inspiration to countless metal bands and artists, you know.

I know that perfectly well, but that doesn't make them metal. Blues artists were the inspiration for early rock and roll, but that doesn't mean blues was rock and roll.

I listen to mainly prog metal, atmospheric black-metal, and non breakdown-core Metalcore. So Between the Buried And me and Converge.

Try listening to The Contortionist. They're prog metal.

Now the good question, Does any of us Classic Rock Fans have a Turntable? I do. it's awesome.

My parents both worked in radio in the late 60's and 70's. We still having our complete sound system from the 70's/80's. Our turntable is original, the speakers are too, and we have a reel-to-reel. We have hundreds of vinyls, lots of them are from radio stations and were given to my parents.

I think I win.

Isn't metal.

It's metalcore. Which is still metal.

Your suggested Alcest isn't even metal. If you think it is, what subgenre is it considered?

Add Metallica, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Motorhead, and Diamond head to the list. Now.

That's Heavy Metal. It would go under the Heavy Metal subgenre.

OP, make sure you include descriptions of the subgenres.

Holy crap I love you too. Anyone who likes Elton John is a friend of mine, best pianist ever, along with Jackson Browne. :D

THAT'S who I couldn't remember. I was like "oooh what's his name" because i was humming "Doctor My Eyes" in my head, and I just thought jackson almost, but then I skipped right to James Taylor by mistake and forgot to include him.

1. We already have a metal thread
2. What a delayed fad Monocle started...wtf
3. The two songs/bands you posted in the OP are really not a good representation of metal. You want a metal thread? Look at VerticalHorizon's. He layed out several different subgenres.

Stop being a lazy ass and put some work into that OP, you bastard.

Jesus christ, I can't tell if you're attempting to troll or if you have serious brain damage.
I honestly think it's the latter.

You must be new here.
