Yes, it's a violin. Don't insult our metal, dude, if you don't like it that's fine but don't shove that in our face. There's plenty we could say about whatever you listen to.

I got to spend my 4th weekend getting ready for my lil baby to be born into this world. I also got to see the fireworks so all in all, a good weekend for me!

Well, it's not the worst, but I'm still upset over this. A week ago my parents said "we're going out to Roslyn for the 4th". I told them, I don't want to go. Because I don't know anyone there, and it would be more fun to just go do fireworks with some friends at home.

But no. Instead, this morning (the morning after my pre-4th party last night) I had to wake up around 8 am (compared to my usual 10 or so) to start driving. We drove east until my ass was sore. Then we pulled up at this resort place where we walked down to a river. That was pretty nice, until a stuffton of families including little kids and dogs showed up at the same spot, surrounding us with all their forgetin' insensitive noise. So we left, though we'd only been there for about 10 minutes.  

Now, back on the road, we go to a winery to get a snack. The food's alright, so then we go on this tour of the facility. I though "oh cool, tours are fun, and this place is built over a coal mine so there's got to be some cool info". Boy was I wrong. The first sentence out of our tour guide's mouth was "Sorry I'm late, I was just finishing signing some folks up for our wine member's club."

We didn't hear the loving end of it. The WHOLE tour was him trying to sell memberships to their stupid ass club, and we didn't learn jack stuff about the awesome coal mine.

So now we head to this person's house for a party. From 4-8 PM I was bored out of my goddamn mind, because I don't know anybody there. I try to talk to people, but nobody has anything to say. I hang out with some college kids, they say 3 words then just sit around waiting for something to happen. Same thing with the adults, but most of them are constantly yapping to each other about something stupid.

We finally drive home, I realize I just missed the 4th of July, so I could have a loving horrible day trip I didn't ask for.


Sorry to complain, I usually don't, but I can't get over how stuffty this was. And remember, I didn't ask to go. I wanted to stay home. I got to light zero fireworks, I saw zero of my friends, and I had close to zero fun.
