You have a budget up to $1000, and you go for a $500 one?
What will you be using this for?

Depends.
The thing I don't like about this video is not including Portal - Portal 2.In Portal it clearly shows the outside, and no nuclear fallout has happened.
I think it Portal 2 could definitely happen during the part where humans stay underground.
But you're not better than them.Is what you think.
dudeI mean you may be using a stuff CABLE that only supports up to X Mb/s.
how is this bad
I don't know if I'm even capable of cringing. I don't think I ever have.Same here.
LOOK FRIENDMaybe you're using a lower grade ethernet cable that only supports up to X Mb/'s?
MY ETHERNET CABLE
Ok. Well, either way, it's not good internet.I would kill for your internet.
-internet snip-

Still no one's answered my question. :c If I get a WiFi card with a faster Mbps than my internet provides, will I see an increase of speed or will it just be bottlenecked by my internet?Obviously it'd be bottlenecked by your internet.
do you have anything to back this up except assumptions that poor people's families have saved up moneyWith proper budgeting and not being stupid with your money, you could make it.
8k is half of what a minimum wage worker doing 40hrs a week makes in a year
and then they'res no guarantee they're going to get a better paying job
and the 2 years wont get you a degree, be realistic you're going to a college for a minimum at 4 for a degree (this is assuming this is 8k for 2 years, not one)
