It's nice to have annoying bloom in my face in HD: TSE (not an insult, the graphics rock), but I'm not a graphics-whore-bastard. I enjoy Classic a lot, and it had some things that HD didn't. First of all, the night sky looks a lot better. In HD, it looks dull as stuff. Second of all, GRAVITY TRICKS! Finally, I just feel more powerful in Classic. I don't know if it's the vintage graphics or sounds, I just feel powerful... but that's just how I feel. I would say nostalgia, but that doesn't really count.

Second Encounter is also my favorite.

I'm not taking any sides here, I've never played any of them, but I just felt like pointing out your hypocrisy when you state you aren't a "graphics-whore-bastard", then your first reason why classic is better is because the night sky looks a lot better.

Don't bail. Explain your situation, and if the boss has any reason, he won't be a huge rooster face.

But if it's true and you do work at McDonald's, good luck. Everyone who works there things they are the stuff because they're the manager at McDonald's.
If you were to quit, you wouldn't get a final pay check. If the boss fires you, you get one last pay check for the week, so quiting to save yourself from something that might not be so bad isn't worth it.

Perhaps it could be your drivers aren't updated.

That was a problem, but I fixed that a month ago. The drivers should be fine.

Need a bit more info; OS, when did it start, why do you suspect it started, etc.

Windows 7. It started within the past week, I'm not quite sure why it's started. I don't believe the hard drive is the issue though.

I did run Memtest on it last month and the RAM was fine, but maybe it just crapped out, I can't be sure of it.

It's an HP, and I've tried plugging it into an external monitor but the screen remains black.

wtf? i tried the 7770 a while back and i got on bf3 40-45 fps on medium at 1920x1080
far cry 3 medium settings around 35-40 fps 1920x1080

I hate to bump this, but I forgot to mention my resolution was like 1600x900 or whatever. That could probably be it.

I use to wear them just to be cute with my friend, then all of a sudden an influx of cigarettes thinking they were an elite race came out of no where.

you wont even be able to get a good GPU for $100

The 7770 is a pretty decent budget card. I can play BF3 Ultra settings with a cool 60FPS.

But yeah, you can't just stick a graphics card into your laptop and call it a day. You'd need at least 20 ounces of magic and a pound of potions for that to work.
