I did a stupid and now my computer has to be wiped down.

If you have any reminders for stuff I should back up on my thumbdrive, I'd like to hear it.

Currently Backed Up:
  • Blockland Folder
  • TF2 Map

Uh, anything else?

P.S. if I'm going to wipe I may as well upgrade to 64-bit. Anyone have a resource on what is required to make the switch? I have a dual-core processor and I'm not sure what else is needed.

Modification Help / Re: Global Tick Schedule for Zones?
« on: February 26, 2011, 08:41:48 PM »
I'm curious. What makes the global method better than the individual method? The code is more or less the same. The only difference is, in the global routine, you're having to shift through a simgroup and in the local routine you're making more schedule events.

Modification Help / Re: If Hit by Certain Item
« on: February 26, 2011, 08:25:58 PM »
You have two options:

1. Find another solution for what you're doing.
2. Make a script that creates a different onProjectileXXXHit for every projectile type.

The current system lacks discrimination.

About how far of a push back? Week? Weeks? Month? Months?
Asking a developer how long it's going to take to get something done is like asking an insomniac when he's going to go to sleep.

What the forget do you mean.
That's like saying, "Oh good job on not dying in that surgery hurr."
Is there anything wrong with saying that? It lacks a certain finesse but I wouldn't complain.

I had to get the surgery on my knee. So I could walk again.
What's the condition? Did you just break it?

Thinking dirty?
No, it's the fact his reply was so blunt to this conspiracy that, because you had an animal as an avatar, you suddenly had a special interest for animal-people.

What part of that was funny?
None.
Not to you, maybe.

Suggestions & Requests / Re: [Engine Change] Dynamic Skybox
« on: February 26, 2011, 02:35:18 PM »
Badspot switching to a new engine for Blockland is 1/999.

Besides, making Blockland off a new engine would require building it from the ground up.
You misread everything. Please re-read the topic.

Quote
Whoops, I thought you meant switching from Torque to a new engine. I think only modification Torque is up to the developers of Torque since Blockland is built on Torque, not within Torque.
Why do people insist on talking about something they don't know anything about?

The entire premise of the Torque Game Engine is to let the developer manipulate the source code. The Garage Game's forums speak openly about this.
