Vehicles are pretty much essential for most sandboxes.

lel, if BL were on unreal/cryengine, it wouldn't work out very goodNahh man it's all about that unity now (it's insane at how popular it is)
...I can imagine how weird it would look if Blockland was run on something like Source, CryEngine, or even the Unity eng-I hate it when people say this. Just because a game such as Crysis or Half Life uses the Cry or Source engine doesn't mean every single game will look the same. Stop being stupid and realize that you can customize textures/graphics, whatever in a game engine. Look at TF2 and Half Life, they are both running Source but look different. Blockland on another engine would look the same, the only thing you would notice is performance.
No, scratch the changing engine thing, probably is best to improve as much as possible the Blockland Torque engine, and we will just need to wait to see what happens in the future.
If the ext4 file system I use on Linux is causing this, that would be sad.. maybe I should've made my partition use FAT or maybe NTFS.Noo, its probably just Wine. Ext, and ext4 being the latest, is the native file system for linux. Ext4 offers the best performance for linux, some people run into glitches/problems when on NTFS (idk about FAT32). Also, I believe with ext4 defragging is not an issue.
The reason is probably your computer overheating. Most computers shut down themselves whey they overheat. Try getting a new radiator or more fans.Or better yet make sure the CPU or GPU fan (most of the time it's GPU) is working.
Should be in Drama. How does this belong in Drama? Seriously, whenever someone posts anything about someone else all I see is "this belongs in drama". This is why the General Discussion has the least amount of posts, there are too many specific boards and then people want to move things to those boards when it's not even necessary. This is about Blockland, (he even has a screenshot of a building server) and it just happens to contain someone exploiting in Blockland (he's not ranting over him, simply giving awareness). Also, if you haven't noticed yet the Drama forum is in the OffTopic category....this doesn't seem like this is off topic to me.
forget Torque. I don't want torque at all. This engine blows. I want this game to be built on a better engine. Torque feels way too outdated to me.I remember asking around though and the many limits that we have are from packets/Internet related. The vehicle limit, brick limit, are all Internet related. I don't know for sure how packets work, wether or not you can just make the packets bigger etc. The other things such as physics (vehicle, bricks and also players, - although bricks have pretty nice physics) are engine related I believe. The one thing I wish would be improved for brick physics is that if you blow up a building or something on the bottom part the rest of the top that doesn't have support should fall like getting fakekilled.
And no, not really. I don't think there'd be more gamemodes at all, but I'm sure as hell convinced that they'd be a lot better with all the possibilities programmers would have to screw around with a new engine that was more flexible.
Lol yeah, CryEngine would be a sight to see for a game like Blockland.
You save 2 cents, imagine what you can do with those 2 cents!Nothing. Tolls going into NY (or a bridge to go there, I cant remember) even ask for you to not use pennies, like wtf it's still currency. Lazy ass people.
And with Torque3d you expect more gamemodes?I don't think he ever spoke specifically of Torque3D or any torque engine, maybe that's what he was thinking of but he could've been thinking something like the CryEngine. (Lol imagine the performance for a game like Blockland)
