I used to be an insomniac.
All I'd do was pick up a book and read until I couldn't stay awake anymore. I guess it didn't help, but at least I was doing something productive, and I wasn't bored to death waiting for sleep to come.
If your sleeping is messed up and if you really are just snoozing through the day, wait for a weekend where you can get up a lot later than usual, if possible, and try to scale back to normalcy.
If none of that helps at all, then I don't know what you should do.
