They create an association with children and love. This isn't something that will do a huge amount of damage, but it's an association that can't help people who are already impulsively attracted to children. It's not going to push normal people into raping children, but it could fuel already existing problems.
The children in child research could find the images, or be found by people who have seen the images. This can either create new damage socially or internally, or bring back memories of things that they don't want to be reminded of.
The consistent viewership of child research solidifies a market for it. I don't expect that there's any kind of CP community, but people will do all sorts of awful things if they have positive reinforcement.
I probably missed some stuff too.
I feel like Zealot has been more reasonable in this topic than he is getting credit for. Explain your reasoning, offer decent argument. Don't just yell.
