Excuse me but where the hell was the woman "bashing" him? She was just standing up for her son, like she would if OP had judged her kid in front of her IRL.

Sorry if there was some sort of mis-understanding. And the kid is 16, presumably OLDER THAN OP HIMSELF. Why would he need his 68-year-old mother to defend him? It's not even a serious issue, it's just music.

As far as I'm concerned the only insult that he actually sent to her was the "Did you actually go to school" thing.

I wouldn't really send that to a person that survived long enough to be 68 and have a computer, internet connection, a Fb account AND a camera to take pictures. But still, that gives her no right to badger the hell out of a teen for insulting her son.

Have you forgotten basic morality? Insulting people is rude and hurts your reputation, regardless of the age gap between you.

I insult people only when they need insulting.

And from what I have seen, alot of people should be banned if that rule was actually enforced all the time.

Unless she tells your mum/dad.  Then you get grounded or yelled at, unless your parents don't give two stuffs about what you do.

Most parents should let their kids do whatever they want if they're not complete dumbasses. My mother lets me "accidentally" swear, as long as I don't do it in anybody's face or/and direct it at said person.

She wont evolve into some kind of super genius because she's been through 68 years of life. She's badgering you because you made a dumb comment about music. Old people who use Facebook usually go on it to keep up with whatever family uses Facebook and to play with the games and stuff on it, not to be harassed by loving macho 11 year olds who feel that telling a woman seven times his age that she must have dropped out of high school in third grade is cool. You both are the kind of forgeters that make the elderly hate our generation, acting like you're cool and have a pair of balls because you think the internet is a loving wall and that respect has to be given out like money. She was defending her family from some obviously idiotic comment you made and you should've backed off or tried to clear it up instead of acting like an enormous douchebag and then bragging about it to an internet forum trying to act cool.

Cool down. This isn't real life. If she wants respect over here she has to earn it just like a 9 year old does. The internet has nothing to do with real life and you can't tell the difference between a really really stupid person and a handicapped person.

Not to mention that she shouldn't just badger everybody who insults her relatives for a good reason. And she doesn't really need perfect grammar, she should just make whatever her post legible and proper to read.
