So I was hosting my Blocko City server. Pilot1 ones out of nowhere, tells me how to run my server. Says I build stuffty, because he can't get the concept Blocko City is suppose to look like it's made by an 8 year old. He drags this on for a good 30 minutes.

Suggestions & Requests / Capture the flag, flag!

Make a pole one solid color (you chose probably white or black for an example) , the flag use a blank texture, replace the CTF hammer model with your new flag model and then we have a flag!


I'm agitated this hasn't been done since the v9 port. In fact I don't recall it being done in v8 either.

I like the "don't repeat yourself" restriction in Blockland however it can be slightly easy to abuse. All it takes is changing a simple character and you can repeat easily, I think this should be fixed to avoid chat flooding.

At this point the flood filter kicks in.

Off Topic / Stan, Cartman and Kyle are not real (spoilers)

Anyone remember the last part for the southpark imagination land series? Towards the end Stan, kyle and cartman got sucked into imagination land and was then killed by a nuke. Butters who lived by a magic bubble, imagined everything back to normal. This means Stan, Kyle and cartman are no longer real but imaginary in the tv series, did I just blow your mind?

An admin only key that works on any colored brick. It doesn't have to be admin only but I rather prefer it if it were admin only.

For the model I would just make a white key with a skull as the loop and the teeth would look similar to the yellow key but on both sides, whatever model you want to make that's fine too.

I got the idea after badspot released his keys to default.

I'm just going to continue single ideas in more detail one by one for now.


I have so many ideas I'll just cram them all in here. I apologize for existing topics for a few of these.

Most of the ideas are meant to be silly/non-serious, because that's how I use to remember blockland and that's how I would still like to remember it.

Brickstyle vehicles - Vehicles that look like it were made of Blockland bricks.

Chicken Cannon - Shoots an exploding chicken.
*Model done, no script.

Brickstyle airliner - small 8x wide less than 25x length airliner.

Piranha Launcher - shoots piranhas of death at you.

Brick Launcher - Shoots 1x1 bricks or misc bricks.

Fish Tank Map - A fish tank?

Pigbomb - A pig strapped with dynamite, has a timer fuse and will follow the enemy for a short amount of time.

Banana mine - Banana thrown on the floor, causes a player to slip and die from an explosive.

Paint gun - paints bricks from a distance, if you are too lazy to paint them with a spraycan. (Don't become confused with v8 paintball gun, that just temporarily paints bricks and it gets annoying.)

Cellphone car bomb - Select the vehicle you want blown up, turn on the phone, dial the bomb.

Working train with custom tracks - The train can only ride on the custom train tracks that go with it. Also the train must have a custom vehicle spawn it's like a normal one except the vehicle spawn will have train tracks on it. If anyone can code a train to only ride on those specific bricks it could work out. I'm sure curved tracks would be very "glitchy."

Soda Can Grenade - I already got the basic concept for this, except I took someone else's soda can and put an edited grenade script.

Mousetrap car - a car made from a mouse trap and household materials, duh.

Limbs - Working limbs for the blockland minifig.

Realistic spider - concept similar to the snail from Autumn's Pond. The spider will have realistic textures, can't be painted. The Spider should also be able to eat players and climb walls.

Realistic fly - same stuff but flies and doesn't eat people.

Realistic fish - you know you want to swim/ride with a realistic fish.

Crayon Jousting Weapon - A realistic sized and textured crayon you use to joust with.

90/180 degree rotation turrets - Turrets like pirate cannon and tank turret that can only rotate 90 or 180 degrees.

Printable road bricks - for the average blockhead that wants more road choices.

Tree/foliage - Tiny pine tree, spruce tree, round oak tree, palm tree, flowers, bush and so on. All should have the lego concept but with a "blocko" design.

Skeleton key - An admin only key that works on any colored brick.

Animal exploring bots - Animal bot pack that just auto explores. Cow, horse, pig, chicken, dog, cat, crab and so on.

Heavy Knight Playertype - a giant knight player type with a custom player model (similar to rotondo's tank model). Can't jump or ride vehicles, slow moving and very high health and defense. Along with it's large custom player model it should come with a custom long giant sword with it's own attack animation and a tower shield that can block attacks with right mouse button, (to avoid being over powered make sure it can only use that custom sword and shield). Along with that it should have custom full helmet, chest plate, cape and so on.

Pizza - Can be thrown or eaten I have the model just need the script.

Toothpick spear - a normal wooden toothpick, you can use my spear edit script for it.

Skeleton/bone bricks - Just normal blocko skeleton bricks. I can give you some of my examples. Bone pile brick, blockhead skeleton chained to a wall (for medieval dungeon builds), random individual bones such as ribs, legs, arms, skulls and so on. I think you get the idea with this now.

Zombie mod - a zombie mod that doesn't rip off left 4 dead and is an original idea like the v8 zombie mod.

Flam spitter pumpkin - Hold the pumpkin with two hands, hold left mouse button to spit fire.

Flag - An actual flag for that CTF mod.

I'm making a new Blocko City (working on different name) but this time in the Kitchen. It's going to take a little more organization and help but I think we can get it done. It's about time the kitchen map proved to be useful. If you don't know what Blocko City is, it is a large bedroom build that uses eight year old style building with a classic v0002 - v8 building style vibe to it.


There is no wrong way to make a lego build but some ways are more wrong than others.

Builders:

Rules:
*No building on the floor.
*No building in secret areas.
*No building outside.
No pissing me off.
No free admin.
No duplicator.
*No events.
*No emitters.
*No lights.
*No un-render bricks.
*No un-collision bricks.
*No raycasting off bricks.
*No colors other than Red, blue, green, yellow, black, white and grey(s).
*No spamming, just because it's lego style that doesn't mean build a wall of 1x1 bricks.
No weapons in your build.
No more than five of the same colored bricks touching, unless it was for furniture.

* means I will delete your build if it breaks this rule.

Yes I know a few airliner suggestions have been made and we already had a few airliners that were just way too big. My suggestion is a lego style design airliner. It's small but still able to hold 11 people (10 passengers, 1 pilot). Mine is only 8x wide and less than 25x bricks in length, you don't have to copy my example exactly though. As for the multicolor, don't worry about that one color is fine I was just too lazy to color this plane one color.

Also it would be pretty neat if the airplane's roof could come apart while it is parked, just like a 90s lego airplane which has a removable top so the lego men can fit in easier.

Modification Help / No one can see the CI icon.

I was wondering how come no one can see my CI icon but me. I was editing the dinner blaster and changed the "nom" to a realistic hamburger. However it works for me but it always shows up as a skull for everyone else. How do I fix this?

So I was hosting a deathmatch server. Jets, building and events were disabled. There was absolutely no way for anyone to actually fly. So then KILLINGYOUGUY-Alpha    (ID 26791) comes along and he was able to fly around like he had some kind of client script. I spied on him and he didn't use any rocket launchers, he didn't use any weapon to lift himself off the ground and he didn't click any brick to make him fly. He just kept flying into the air and if he needed more height he flew higher to prevent himself from hitting the ground.

Not really drama worthy but I want you to know what he is capable of.

For some reason face thumbs become blank and they get mixed up with other faces. Such as the red haired girl face will mix up with the pirate eye patch face or another face mixes up with another one. I'm pretty sure it's messed up by the dinner blaster but I think it could also be something else.

Modification Help / Faces and chests are blank.

I have this beta retail playertype and apparently it doesn't work right. Faces and chests are completely blank to anyone who joins my server, however I can see chests and faces anyways. I tried putting faces and decals in with the zip file and still nothing, so what is the cause?

I'm giving away my living room map for anyone to complete and finish. Just remember to add me into the credits. I compiled a list of possible files and textures for it. You need torque constructor or something similar. This was my first attempt at creating a big map in the year 2008 or 2009 and it's just a complete mess, if anyone is up for the challenge go for it.

Known bug: There is a weird problem with the lighting. It acts like a window is open when there is absolutely no open space at all with in the map.






 If there is a file or texture missing please let me know and I will give it to you shortly. Also I am aware some of the textures aren't that great, feel free to use your own. I just don't want this map to go to waste.
