I don't know Tony, Minecraft has quite a large amount of hype.

But yeah, Notch could have picked a better period of time to release it in.

It can't compete against three major titles during the same time period.

Call of Duty's fan base is to cool to play dungeons and dragons or play as a wannabe Indiana Jones.

I have yet to see an Indiana Jones video game as good as Uncharted or a recent Tomb Raider game better than uncharted.

you are implying then that its the ONLY new game you got in 2009/10?
even if that was true (and a wasteful person), its not typical of any target market in the gaming industry.

Well I got other games in 2009 too but I didn't pay for them.

I waited until 2009/10ish to get Uncharted 2 and it came out in 2008.

this isnt 1995. people will buy more then one game. especially since none of these 3 games are the same genre, or are coming out that close together.


i mean god do you buy 1 game a year?

These are big games which people will mainly focus on one at a time. You can't beat one in a week (except MW3) and play the next one. Uncharted 3 and Elderscrolls 5 should take awhile.
