Anyone who thinks it isn't a sport has obviously not been in marching band. It's competetive, requires skill, requires teamwork, and just generally has every aspect that other sports have. There are tournaments.. Also, if you think marching is less physically exerting than football or any other kind of sport than involves hard work physically, again you have never been in marching band.

Also, it doesn't seem like it would at all be fun. That's what everyone says. It hooks you in and doesnt let go until you've beaten it. Give it a chance and you won't be sorry
