Music / Sonic 3 & Knuckles: The Complete Soundtrack

Ever since I eventually knew how to make music for Blockland, I've been wanting to do something like this; creating mono ogg vorbis loops of every song from one of the best Sonic games ever made and listening to them while I go forth on my Blockland adventures. After some thinking through, I have decided to release all my songs to the Blockland forum community, due to requests of some of these songs. This is also my first ever music pack I released, with a total of 44 songs.

Help / Question about posting music and the rule against posting full songs...

I asked this question in the "Don't post full songs" thread, but nobody ever replied. I also PM'd Badspot, but no reply, so this is all that's left.

Are we allowed to post mono ogg vorbis loops of an entire game's soundtrack, as long as the loops are in different groups of downloadable files? I've had this question for quite a while, because I made loops of a whole game's soundtrack, but haven't released them, due to a possible rule against it.

Help / Fixed port-forwarding, fails again after shader update?

Just before the shader update, I was finally able to fix my port-forwarding and host a server, but after the shader update, I am yet again unable to host!

What's wrong with this thing? I opened port 28000, both protocols, which did the trick before the update. About 6 people joined my server, but after the update, it just fails again!

What the forget is going on??

Drama / Is Eeposs' signature bannable?

There is a link on there that reads "CLICK THIS FOR BLOODMOD", which leads to a page where you're about to create a drama thread called "Eepos is gay!" saying "I SAID HI AND HE BANNED ME!!!"

Surely this counts as traplinking? I think I remember somebody getting banned for this in the past. Someone was even foolish enough to hit post.

In case you're wondering, I'm not trying to act like a constant griefer to Eeposs. In fact, I was willing to forgive him about that whole gallery thread incident a while back, but I just found this while looking at his signature.

Suggestions & Requests / Advanced Music Loops

I often thought there should be a way to make music that actually have an intro at the beginning, so music can actually sound like something completely over the top. For example:

| = Intro Start
| = Loop Start
| = End

|---|------------|

When the music is first heard from the player, it would start from the intro start, and it would go on past the loop start up to the end, and when it loops, it would start again back at the loop start, and repeat endlessly.

This would be useful for deathmatch arenas, racetracks, etc. that would use music to enhance the experience. Instead of getting off at a sudden start, the music could finally be able to start slow and quiet before going into the real part without it sounding weird when it loops.

It could be made by making a zip file containing files such as the description, a sound file of the music from the intro start to the loop start, labelled "intro", and another one of the music from the loop start to the end, labelled "loop".

I think this might have witnessed this, when I had this avatar of Finn from Adventure Time screaming externally:



I think it might have affected my personality on the forum. Ever since I had it, I've been making more jokes than usual. I even made this post, (Warning - this post is inside the pony thread.) because I thought the timing was right, and that it would be hilarious, which turned out to, to some users, who even participated.

I knew I had to change it to see the result, which I am yet to find. Has anyone else ever felt this way? Do you think your avatar might affect your personality here on the forum? Don't forget to share your experiences with us if you think so!

Add-Ons / "Pingas" Sound Effect (My first sound add-on)

This is just something I made while having a go at making a sound add-on for Blockland for the first time. I decided to make one of Robotnik's "pingas", because I just find the sound absolutely hilarious, and that it has never been made for Blockland before. That is also why I decided to release it.

Those of you who don't know what "pingas" is, it's from a quote uttered from Dr. Robotnik in an old Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon. This part of the quote sounded a lot like "snake", so it instantly became popular. Here is a video of that quote.

Modification Help / Just getting into making sounds; what is this "server.cs"?

I've done almost everything I need to do for making a custom sound. The wav file, the description and the namecheck, but not the "server.cs". I don't know what it is, because I can't open it from other sound add-ons zip-files.

Can someone please tell me what this thing is? I'm just getting into making custom sounds for Blockland, but I don't know what the server.cs is.

Drama / Does anyone else find Myridion a problem?

I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever been griefed by Myridion, because every time we happen to meet in a server, he always calls me a friend and says other useless crap to me. It often happens when I chat something, even if it's completely unrelated.

I just met him again at Uxie's Murder Mystery (Where he was super-admin, for some reason) with a different name, and I saw almost nothing that looks like grief come from him. I put my name back and rejoined, and just as expected, he started with the grief again.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has ever had a problem with Myridion. I feel like I'm the only one who always has problems with him, but I've seen various reports of him griefing a few others.

Drama / Myridion - One of "Eeposs' cronies"

Myridion is one of the people who were involved in my previous drama about Eeposs. Ever since we saw each other after that moment, he would instantly start spewing constant grief to me. The latest was when we met at Port's server, where we were in a minigame where we had to deflect homing rockets and a nuke back at the other team.

Every time I get blown up, Myridion would taunt me.



After telling him to piss off numerous times, he then yells at me to stop talking like a "roohumper", which I'm guessing is a crude metaphor for "Australian".



He then start insulting my aspurgers.





He continues to taunt my death by saying things like "YBI", which stands for "You Blew It", and similar words like "yibbie". And every time he got blown up, he would say the following;



In the game, the message "Watch out!" would appear in the centre of your screen to let you know that a rocket is homing on you. There was a rocket that I thought was homing onto a player that was right next to me, because it looked like it was swerving towards him. When I got blown up by it, that gave Myridion the excuse to spew more grief.



After asking Port to ban him, he tries this sad attempt to shift the ban onto me.




After more taunting, I say the following, which Myridion tries to act all dyslexic over.



More sad attempts by Myridion to accuse me of trolling.





To sum it all up, he's been taunting my failure, insulting my aspurgers and trying to accuse me of trolling toward the admins, just like he always does whenever we run into each other.

I'm trying to find a mod that allows you to move your camera like you're in an admin orb, but still gain control of your Blockhead. I downloaded Jookia's/dargereldren's/Boomerangdog's Camera Stuff mod from RTB, but it doesn't seem to work. I've seen Blockland YouTube video makers create videos by themselves without the use of bots, and I need to know how.

If someone finds something like this, please link it.

Like all ninjas, you have an unquenchable thirst for gold, a natural propensity for exploring rooms infested by increasingly lethal ninja-killing robots, and a devout belief in N.

N, "the way of the ninja", is a highly advanced system of spiritual, cognitive, and physical training.

It emphasizes pacifism, humility, and the need to traverse a series of 5 rooms before the end of your lifetime; a feat known only as "beating an episode".

In accordance with the teachings of N, it is your profound hope that one day you will develop the skill, intelligence, and inexplicable ability to reincarnate necessary to achieve mastery of all 100 episodes.

This is quite an old flash game I always used to play when I was younger. Most of you may be more familiar with its sequel, "N+", which was released for Xbox Live Arcade in 2008. The game has also been released in the same year for Nintendo DS and PSP, but only in the US.

The goal of the game is simple; you have 90 seconds to reach the end of every episode, each with 5 rooms infested with lethal robots that mostly kill on touch, and various other traps. Collecting pieces of gold will add 2 seconds to the timer, which is known as "your lifespan".

Controls: The left and right arrow keys move the ninja left and right. The shift key makes him jump off the ground and off of walls. (Thankfully, there's an option to re-map your controls at the main menu, so you won't need to worry about stickykeys) Finally, pressing the K key will kill you, useful for restarting a room.

Off Topic / Too...many...similar...threads...

Has anyone ever accidentally posted in a different thread than the one they intended to? This has been happening a lot to me lately, and it's because of threads in off topic that share a very similar name or purpose.

Threads like these include the similarity of "Is the above user a friend?" and "Is the above user a coolbro in your standards?" I wanted to say that Dominator was a coolbro, until I realized that I just posted in the friend thread, so it looked like I was calling him a friend instead. My last one was when I saw "Would you forget the above user?" and "Would you forget the above user's avatar?" and accidentally did it again there, when I said that I couldn't forget Port's avatar, because my snake is not a USB, but realizing that I posted in the thread that was about loving the user, not its avatar.

I'm sure this has happened to other users besides me. Even though a few might not find this very big, I just think that threads that share too much similarity between an already existing one should be held up until the existing one has died out. Right now, the off topic forum might be turning into the drama section, where multiple threads have been made for a single user.

Drama / Eeposs - Ignorance, constant stuff, forms a group against me

This all started because of this thread.

After making my posts on this thread and going on Blockland, I suddenly get an IRC from Eeposs, calling me an idiot. I ask why, and apparently, he said something like "i hope you where trolling". I ask why would I, and he says not to give me that stuff, told me I was trolling his gallery thread, making a fool out of myself, and that everyone hates me. At first, I didn't know what he was talking about, but then I realised it was my posts on his gallery thread.

I told him that wasn't trolling Apparently, he says spawning the horses is "HARD" work, and that others hate me and that I'm trolling him. He then says I can't take a joke. I rhetorically ask him if the thread was actually a joke, and despite what he said earlier, he said no. He even took the time to tell everyone on the server he was on what was happening, so after a long time of this stuff, he finally told me that everyone on the server he was on hates me.

Note: I had to go on empty server to catch all this proof. I took screenshots of the proof while I was loading in the empty server, so I won't get interrupted. Just so you don't get confused.

So, I go over to the server he was on, and sure enough, there were people saying crap to me.



He tells me to see his "pony" spawns. I tell him it's not gallery-worthy, although he doesn't understand what I mean by that.



I tell him what makes a build gallery-worthy, but for some reason, he keeps going on about the joke in the IRC conversation.



During this argument, I came across a pixel art of Fluttershy. I wanted to prove to Eeposs that is a gallery-worthy build, but I needed to know if it wasn't made using img2brick first. Unfortunately, I couldn't think of a better way to know than asking its creator, Insubtle.



So now, Insubtle and some other guy named Myridion joined Eeposs.



They tell me to stop insulting people and they keep calling me a bully, although I said I didn't mean what I asked in a bully-like fashion.



Then, Myridion says to me about his uncle having lung cancer for some reason.



He then accuses me of making a joke about his uncle having lung cancer, even though I didn't say stuff.



I even showed remorse about it, but he then accuses me of lying my way out of it.



I then get so annoyed, I yell out what the forget everyone's problem was today, and the responses include:



During all this arguing, I eventually said I forgot what started this in the first place, so Eeposs linked his gallery thread, showing my posts. I then say:



Insubtle asks why I'm so argumentative.



I told him Eeposs started it by making the IRC, before leaving the server in annoyance.



This kid takes jokes and criticism way too seriously, like he can even do any better.
