Eleven unidentified passengers walked through a security lane without being screened at Kennedy Airport early Monday because the TSA left the area open and unattended, law enforcement sources said.

A security camera captured a metal detector going off three times as the travelers walked through the screening lane, the sources said.

The breach happened around 6 a.m. at Terminal 5, but two hours passed before Transportation Security Administration officials notified the Port Authority Police Department, the sources said.

When they were finally notified, Port Authority cops flooded the terminal equipped with surveillance photos of the travelers, but none of them could be found, the sources said.

Instead of following protocol and notifying Port Authority cops, it took the TSA two hours to tell police about the frightening breach, the sources add.

The unscreened passengers — three of whom set off a metal detector — didn’t even have to take off their shoes to get through security, according to a photo of two of the men obtained by the Daily News.

There was no one present to operate the magnetometer and the X-ray machine, or to do pat-downs and secondary screening, the sources said.

 “It’s scary that people could just walk in like that. It’s seems like something’s out of control here,” said Marie Ruiz-Martinez, 49, of Connecticut, who was at the airport to see her niece off to Puerto Rico.

The breach happened just after 6 a.m. at JetBlue’s Terminal 5.

Rather than notifying the police, who are specifically trained to handle those situations, the TSA used its own agents to search for the unscreened passengers.

At least 12 aircraft violated temporary flight restrictions through Monday afternoon for President Donald Annoying Orange’s Palm Beach Mar-a-Lago stay, with at least five of those having the unique experience of being buzzed by military aircraft, federal officials confirmed to The Palm Beach Post.

NORAD said F-15s from Homestead Air National Guard Base intercepted small planes at about 4 p.m., 5 p.m,. and 7 p.m. Friday and at noon Sunday, and a military helicopter encountered an aircraft around 6 p.m. Friday.

The FAA said Monday the registration numbers — the “tail numbers” — of the planes, and the identities of the pilots, won’t be released while it investigates each violation. Those will take weeks or even months.
“The FAA will investigate each incident and will take appropriate enforcement action. The FAA also will continue to conduct outreach to educate local pilots about the restrictions,” the agency said in a statement.

California law enforcement officials on Tuesday announced they arrested hundreds of people and rescued dozens of loveually exploited children and adults during a statewide sting operation taking aim at human trafficking.

In total, 474 arrests were made — including 142 men hit with solicitation charges and 36 men on suspicion of entrepreneur ing — during the three-day operation conducted by 30 different law enforcement agencies across the state, according to a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department news release.

Additionally, 28 commercially and loveually exploited children and 27 adult victims were saved by the sting, authorities said.

they dont even wait 3 loving seconds after he walks off-screen before talking in past-tense about him, he had no goddamn chance whatsoever to even jump or hit the ground at that point. they dont even move from their spots to try to stop him. she also seems to have a seizure from 2:48 onwards

something that really got to me was also that the voice acting actually tells one story, but the animation tells a completely different one. to me it's seriously impressive how someone can mess up this bad, it just looks like someone mismatched the video and put in voice acting from something different. seriously, just watch the full thing, get a sense of what's going on, then mute it and re-watch it and try not to look at the subtitles

im not a huge fan of the characters either

this looks like 'the sister' was just caught in a bad moment by a screencap or something but no, they look like this throughout most of the video. what emotion is she even trying to give us here? nervousness, happiness? did she just see them wrapping up her subway sandwich the wrong way but she really doesn't want to say anything because she's afraid of seeming rude?

infact i'd say they somehow made this worse than the gun disarm cutscene in ME:A

Gov. Mark Dayton is at home recovering after he collapsed Monday during his 2017 State of the State Address.

About 50 minutes into his annual speech to the Minnesota Legislature, Dayton paused to take a drink of water before slurring his words. He then fainted and hit his head on the podium.

Two GOP legislators, Rep. Jeff Backer and Rep. Jim Newberger, gave emergency aid to the governor as he lay on the floor behind the podium. He appeared to be unconscious for several minutes.

The Legislature adjourned following Dayton’s collapse.

Dayton’s Chief of Staff Jamie Tincher said the governor walked out of the Capitol on his own and returned home, where EMTs performed a routine check.

“The governor is in our thoughts and prayers and we’re hoping for a quick recovery,” Daudt said. “I’m sure he’ll be fine.”

“We’re all here just praying for the governor. We’re all one Minnesota on days like this,” Senate Majority Leader Paul Gazelka said. “We all care for each other. So we — that’s our whole focus right now, period, is praying for our governor. Whatever it is, that he has a speedy recovery. Beyond that, tonight we’re here for him.”

At a 3pm press conference police said there had three deaths from the Bourke Street incident and 20 people had injured.

They are not treating the incident as terror-related and warned people to stay out of the CBD.

Rolls

Probably one of the more important and maybe new mechanics is the rolling system.

Well, how does the rolling work?

First, and maybe one of the most easiest ways, hover your mouse over the title of your post (lit up in red)

then, you should be able to see the link pop up by the bottom of your screen (varies between browsers)

if not, don't fear, just click on the title and your post # will show up in your address bar

so, this poster's post number is '8383426'. this means, if they rolled a 6, so if they were expanding/invading, they'd get 22 territories. if they rolled a '8383422', that's dubs, so they'd get 50 territories. if it was '8383222', that's trips, and so they'd get 100 territories. if it were '8382222', then that's quads, and they'd get 150 territories. though, knowing the forums' speed when it comes to posting and the size of the community, we're probably only going to see dubs and maybe trips in this


Rolls are counted on a first come/first served basis, i.e. assuming the two nations involved are not at war, if a nation rolls before another to take a territory, then a different nation rolls after them to get the same territory, they cannot get all of it, as the other nation already owns most of it. The OP will not allow the slower nation to take most of the territories, unless the roller specifies that they will take it by force, regardless of who is there first.

Defenses

a roller may sacrifice a roll to fortify a territory, which is marked with a darker variant of their current nation color. fortified territories reduce all enemy rolls in the surrounding areas by 6. you can't fortify adjacent provinces, so you can't have, for example, all of Bavaria constantly fortified. Fortifications must be at least one province away from each other.

Capitals

capitals are a fairly important part of this game. they're the life and blood of your people, your government, and a historical mark of your nation. your people and the army that protects them can't last all that much longer if the heart of their nation falls from their hands, so if you can't get your capital back within two turns, any territory you have left will be annexed by the nation that holds your capital. this means that if you're being attacked from 2 sides, and Peekarica occupies your capital for the next two turns, the rest of your land goes to Peekarica if the other aggressor hasn't already taken the rest. occupied/captured capitals are striped with the colors of their occupiers and their original nation's colors.

however, there is some of an exception. if a player controls another major city/capital, they will be able to move it there, which will grant them an extra 2 turns to get their capital back.

If you're wanting to start in an area/region/country that has no capital, just say so and I'll add one in for you.

Waterways

for waterways (shown on the map as dotted red lines), you don't actually have to follow them, but if you don't and do something like, say, invade iceland from spain, you'll suffer a 6 territory loss as a result. following waterways will help avoid that 6 territory attrition.

Expansion

this should be easy enough to get, pretty much all you gotta do is just say where you want to expand, like east or west or north or whatever, just general expansion works too if you trust me enough to leave it to me


well hey wait a second are you just trying to ride off of Jairo's recent project/other people's nation RPs?

that's the one thing i'm not wanting to do, this is an idea i've had in my mind for some time now and i've just had a recent motivation boost to finally get it done. besides, jairo's rps are usually set in a realistic/alternate historical setting, this rp is primarily ahistorical and not even set on a global scale. that doesn't mean you can't play as real-life nations or anything, but don't expect anything in this to be close to real life

while we're on this subject, i should also mention that the date is pretty much just for looks and to give you an idea of the era if you want to do rp, that's probably the only thing 'historical' about this other than the geography of the world

pretty sad, and one of the more surreal things I've seen. the owner, who looks to be the oldest of anyone seen in the video, tries blocking the doorway to his building with himself before getting overwhelmed by police. within half of a minute, you can see vanloads of people pouring into the building

the sad part is that's probably his livelihood, and it probably wasn't doing well in the first place for the government to stuff a bunch of groups into there, so he's probably going to lose a lot of attraction and customers because of this.

although this has been a theory for a few decades, recent leaks revealed this 'illuminati' of a shadow government to be true, and likely to be what is called the 8 goddesses, or the 8 oligarchs, composed of billionaire women from the richest families of south korea. the leaks also pointed to these billionaires/cult having the ability to command the south korean president's everyday life, such as telling her what to wear, what to do when it comes to considering government decisions, what to say, who to make contact with, among many other possibilities

president park has also came on national television to apologize while also confirming these theories, which led to even more mass hysteria and protesting

some of the bigger corporations of south korea (i.e. samsung, honda, etc.), and interestingly enough the samsung HQ was raided by south korean prosecutors as the south korean scandal got further traction

In Paris on Thursday night, around 400 off-duty officers protested at the Place de la République and Champs Elysées avenue, the third night of protests this week.

some summarized context, since the terrorist attacks last year, france has been in an emergency state. police agents have had to go through extended work hours to make sure tourist areas have been safe, as well as high-density populated areas. recently, in a migrant/refuge-populated suburb, two (four ended up being injured) police officers were attacked with molotov roostertails, and badly injured. since then, police agents all over france have been protesting

WASHINGTON — One Texas Republican lost a battle against the White House over a plan to transfer control from the U.S. over internet domain names. Now, another Texas Republican is taking that fight to court.

Attorney General Ken Paxton — picking up the baton from U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz — joined three other states late Wednesday in suing the Obama administration over the proposal. The states are first seeking a temporary block of the plan before it takes effect Oct. 1.

The lawsuit, filed in federal district court in Texas, pits the states not just against the White House.

Tech leaders, internet access companies and others have invoked the protection of internet freedom to defend the plan, which would give up oversight of the nonprofit Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers — ICANN — to private global stakeholders.

Republican attorneys general are making a last-ditch bid to block the Obama administration from ceding U.S. oversight of the internet’s domain name system, filing suit in federal court ahead of an imminent deadline for the hand-off.

The AGs from Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma and Nevada asked a judge late Wednesday to step in and stop the transition to an international oversight body, after GOP lawmakers failed to stall the move as part of a short-term spending bill.

If you thought the battle over whether or not the "keys" to the internet would be handed over to an international governing body might be over quickly, we've got some bad news. Attorneys general from Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma and Nevada filed a lawsuit this week in an attempt to block the Obama Administration's plan to cede control of the internet to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) in October. The group argues that President Obama must get Congressional approval before "giving away government property."

"The Obama Administration's decision violates the Property Clause of the US Constitution by giving away government property without congressional authorization, the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution by chilling speech and the Administrative Procedure Act by acting beyond statutory authority," Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's office explained in a statement.

The Republican attorneys general echoed the sentiments of their fellow party members, arguing that the move would give authoritarian governments like China, Russia and Iran more power to censor the internet. Those three countries will participate in the international governing body that will oversee the internet and domains.

The US government is set to cut the final thread of its oversight of the internet, yielding a largely symbolic but nevertheless significant role over the online address system.

Barring any last-minute glitches, the transition will occur at midnight Friday (0400 GMT Saturday), when the US contract expires for the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, which manages the internet's so-called "root zone."

When the agreement with the US Commerce Department runs out, ICANN will become a self-regulating non-profit international entity managing the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority, the system for online "domains" such as .com.

US and ICANN officials say the change is part of a longstanding plan to "privatize" those functions, but some critics complain about a "giveaway" that could threaten the internet's integrity.
