Off Topic / need help with changing/updating audio drivers
« on: November 15, 2015, 08:50:57 PM »
so earlier today, since my mic no longer works, i wanted to switch my recording device to 'stereo mixer' so that i could at least play stuff through my computer

the only problem was, though, was that 'stereo mixer' got removed from windows 7 & 8.1, so i had to install the realtek HD audio codec from the realtek website to get the stereo mixer back

the tutorial video i watched said in the end to just run the installer and you're done

well, i did that, and when i started the computer back up i saw the normal headphone and microphone logos in the taskbar with that green installation progress in the background for a second or two. i went to 'recording devices' and it's still the same, there's no 'stereo mix' despite having followed all instructions in the tutorial. my audio drivers are also still 'high definition audio device' and nothing to do with realtek.

i've looked all over google, too, and now i'm feeling like i'm pretty dumb and i'm missing something vital here. can anybody here help out a fellow american who's down on his luck

i got it working

thanks guys

so my school has this system where you're allowed 7 days off, but no more or else you'll have to take some time of saturday school. but that's not what i'm worried about, what i'm worried about is the pile of homework that's probably about to hit me

on monday i was pretty sick to the point of throwing up, and when we got an appointment to a doctor they made it tuesday, so i ended up having to miss school on two days (counting my previous sick days, these added up to 5 days)

now it's wednesday, i just woke up an hour after school starts, but there's nobody home except for my grandmother who just woke up, and my grandpa said he can't come back because he's at work

how am i going to deal with this storm of work that's about to hit forums i'm scared

Games / computer having troubles with installing GTA V with CDs
« on: October 03, 2015, 06:45:46 PM »
so, before my computer crashed and died (which afterwards i got back in perfect condition) for a second time, i had GTA V installed (through discs) and everything was fine and happy

now, i'm trying to install GTA V once again with disc 1, and when it does go in i get the usual disc-loading icon by my mouse, but nothing at all happens. i looked on the internet, not much help other than what i've already tried

so then i tried to do it manually, but there's no files at all in the DVD drive. i cleaned the disc, made sure there was no physical damage, checked my drivers for updates and all. i also checked their properties to make sure that their statuses were fine, and even tried restarting the computer just to make sure, and i've obviously got internet connection if that matters

i don't get at all why this wouldn't be working, since it seems the only reported problems with GTA V installation discs have to do with console versions. does anybody know any possible reasons/solutions for this?

so something I've realized but never pointed out is that on the search menu, you get the option to 'match all words' and ''match any words'

is there any difference in this? isn't any and all pretty much the same thing? if so, why does the option exist in the first place?

Off Topic / 44 Minutes: The North Hollywood Shootout
« on: August 09, 2015, 11:42:30 AM »
here's the video. it's a short film, but it does good at recreating the event and involving interviews with the officers involved. at the end it also includes a short compilation of actual footage of the shootout and some media footage of it. also, i may have made a few mistakes when writing this, please forgive me since i am sort of tired right now.  this was an event that had practically changed how police departments work, and how they are today.

(note: contains some gore and blood at times, if you're sketchy about that)

ok so i thought i knew the song's name at first but it turns out i really didn't and now i have to find it

i remember first hearing it (i think it was on one of those 'useless websites' or 'random websites' things) on a website where it showed different shapes forming, and that was it. the camera was also circling around the forming shapes while the song played in the background.

i've seen videos that have the song in it, and they said the artist was unknown

the website's address was the exact same as the song's name, and i could've sworn the website's name was something like 'nicotineaddiction', 'addictionofnicotine' or 'addictiontonicotine'

but apparently those aren't it so i'm at a dead-end

does anybody else know/remember what i'm talking about?

Off Topic / i think my computer is dying
« on: June 08, 2015, 01:42:59 PM »
well stuff

yesterday i think i left my computer on for nearly two days because i was trying to install a game one night then played blockland for a while during the other, if that matters at all. while playing blockland, my computer froze up, then after a couple of minutes went to the usual windows 8.1 error screen. but instead, it was just scattered white dots and black lines at the bottom as if the words and face blew up onto the screen.

i let it restart itself, and it took a while to start (but this usually happens when my computer does mess up) and it acted pretty odd when i did get onto the desktop mode. everything was pretty slow, the taskbar bugged out too, but when i did a proper shut-down and turned it back on, it acted better. i started up blockland and did the usual thing, and it ran fine while i did. suddenly i got that java update notification, and my computer froze on a greyed-out version of my desktop (since it does that for the notification window) and it just froze there. i let it sit for a while, and the notification came up, then i closed it out and everything ran fine again.

today everything was fine, but it did the same thing when the java update came up. after that, google chrome started to freeze up and not respond, and my taskbar lagged a lot.

is this my computer dying, or is something just forgeted up where i should wait it out?

hello forums today im your guide on the sequel to What's tucking? How to do it? And other questions answered here. except i'm not answering anymore questions because i don't do this and nor am i a; gay
NOTE!: There ARE quite a few inaccuracies in this guide. Suggested you do a bit more research before going through with your horrid decision. Infact, all this may not be too true.
not responsible for any damages done to body during exercises

Also, a few things I want to add

-avoiding all dairy is not necessary, and some dairy products, especially milk do contain a good amount of estrogen and can help, or so I've heard

-not all meat is bad for this either, poultry is fine, its mostly the really heavy stuff like beef that's a problem, and idk about eggs

-Lush products are fabulous and smell amazing

-Decepticon is amazing for this

why did you make this??

i was bored and found this

wow decepticon dont be a gay
ah but you see i am not i am only bringing such knowledge to the forums. this forums knows of trapping probably but there may be someone in desperate (and sad) need of knowing how to do this. its all okay now, though, because this useful guide is here to help all of you because i love almost all forumers

are you going to regret making this????

maybe

so how do i become a trap
read the infographic and do that then you may get good results

congratulations! i hope you all benefit from the extensive research it took for me to find this image and i hope you use these powers responsibly even though i don't even know if they'll work right

even tho you need to sign up and have an account to actually draw or set something up, from what i've seen it's pretty fun

i was also thinking somebody could set something up for blocklanders or something

oh yeah also your account has to be verified by staff or something when making an account so i don't think you can make names like "bigblackroosterlander"
