How else would I get a process to start without a wrapper of some sort? The wrapper will not be offered via this website, and therefore cannot be fail binned. It will be located at all times in the Server Host's web "Control Panel" tab.

No idea what half of what you said actually means, is there a wrapper on the BL process or not? "Sift through a list of the hosts clients" - what the forget are you on about?
The blockStar Server Client (that hosts run) is a GUI where the host will add clients locally.

The Server Client runs down a database of those clients, waiting for someone to request their server be booted.

--
The blockStar mod does this somewhat similarly, however, only focuses on it's assigned client. The server is shutdown via the mod.

If that's not what you're asking, you need to be a lot clearer.

The server is booted via the blockStar Client. The blockStar Client sifts through a list of the hosts clients. Each time a client is called, blockStar asks the server if the user is asking to open the server. If the server says yes, the server will be launched. If not, go to the next client.

Clients will have to have a mod placed in their server, of course. You simply type /blockstar AuthCodeHere in, and you will never have to worry about it again. Your server will do the rest.

Ah. Sorry. I thought he was talking about the RTB Hosting Service.

186
Brick counts and player counts are available to anyone...?
blockStar logs a ton of things that wouldn't otherwise be available to anyone without some serious record keeping. Lub said that RTB logs data that is not available to the customer on their end, which worries me about their client's privacy.

187
Wouldn't be so sure about that one if I were you, there's plenty logged that just doesn't have a front end.
blockStar doesn't invade user privacy by logging things that JS has nothing to do with, and not presenting it to the client that pays money for it. All logged data is available to the client.

These are the ones I initially developed.

These are the latest developments.

There are more to come.

Hmm
You're right
But can't you just buy a rtb/kapserver then?
I mean, it's only $2 more...
You certainly could. I can't control where you spend your money. But you need to understand the difference between a dedicated host and a management host. blockStar has a better panel than the dedicated hosts (as far as features), as it is centered around management. So you could decide that you wanted to give up the features that blockStar Management offers you and go with hosting, or you could save the money and use blockStar.

That's for you to decide.

What
If I host from my pc
Then I don't need a tool for it
Assuming that you're in front of your PC 100% of the time? What if you're on vacation, school, or anywhere where you can't get on your PC?

Also, website is my own. I used a bunch of resources on it, but still.
Not sure of what this really has to do with blockStar, however.

192
I still don't get what this is for though

Is it like kaphost or rtb
Or what
What is it
It's pretty simple, and I've answered this way too many times. This is a management platform for hosting, be it your own servers that you host on your own machine, or if you host a dedicated server service. I segregated the platform into 2 options. 1 is personal, for your own servers. The other is professional, for your dedicated host service.

Personal offers you everything that professional offers, just without the billing and whatnot.

Professional offers you unlimited clients, billing, and everything you would need to run a hosting service.

Also, website is my own. I used a bunch of resources on it, but still.

If the pics are broken, refresh.

@Nobot: Yes. This will greatly aid in moderation and management. If you host a lot of servers, I'd probably recommend professional.

I hope to get some more visual development done tonight. If you have any suggestions, please let me know now. Someone asked me if hosts can somehow customize their panel. I need some more realistic ideas with that.

Happy Birthday! On a serious note, we need to talk about your buttons. Since you're 16, we need to replace your eyes with buttons of your choice. Black IS traditional, but if you prefer pink, fuscia, or green, I might be jealous!

195
So this is a hosting service for other people start there own hosting service right?
No. This is a platform for people who want to start a service, already run a service, or want to manage their own servers.

It comes with everything but hosting. That's your control.
