To say that a cat has no thoughts or intelligence whatsoever is a really far-fetched statement, in fact the Russian Blue is one of the most intelligent breeds out there.
Sure dogs are somewhat more intelligent but it doesn't mean that they're 100% absolutely superior. It depends on what you're willing to do for your pets. Dogs require you to walk them so they don't stuff on your floor, while cats require a litterbox that still needs cleaning.
