forgetin valve, my friend reckons he invested thousands of dollars into a steam account, and his account was permanantly disabled, because he middle-manned in a trade that happened outside TF2. I now officially hate valve, and that fat forget Gabe Newell :)
because he middle-manned in a trade that happened outside TF2.
Don't blame Gabe for something stupid, all he's doing is preventing anyone from playing Episode 3 because he doesn't want anyone near his computer.

He must be hiding food research jpegs.

Neither. Both promote gang violence and car jacking. Get Homefront or Pokemon
By that logic, Homefront promotes shooting Asian people in the name of freedom.

I think the server runs off of Java Runtime Environment, so if it doesn't automatically open with Java chances are that you don't have the latest version installed either...

This is true, but I am kinda glad it is gone because it caused other civs to declare war on me for bullstuff reasons.
You have fallen under a heathen religion! -2.

But you are at war with our enemy, +5.

I find Ike to be a condescending richard.
I find him to be trying really hard for our attention.

Seriously, I've seen lots of Off-Topic threads made by him that are just completely random and make me think that he actually considers it to be a blog.

I want to host a multiplayer server. I try clicking the minecraft.exe thing or wahtever it is, but a message saying that i need to pick something to open it. What thing shall i pick?
The problem is that it shouldn't be asking you how to open an .exe file.

P.S.
I don't know if you server hosters know this or not, but hosting a Minecraft server actually requires resources.

You really can't host a server and play at the same time on a dual core, even at 3 GHz.
And no, you can't host on DSL speeds either.

You need at least a quad core processor, at least 2.5 GHz maybe, and at least 4GB of RAM, and at least a decent broadband connection if you live in a rural area, or fiber optics in a populated area.

I'm not saying "NO HOSTING PLEASES", I'm just saying, if you don't fulfill those requirements you'll find out shortly that the server will either lag from the start if you have shoddy internet, or will lag with more players/chunks generated eventually.

I sometimes host a Minecraft server (not as much as I used to), and my RAM usage goes as high as 3.5GB out of 4GB.  1.5 GB is normally used by Steam/Chrome/Windows/Skype/etc.  Do the math, Java eats up lots of RAM.

I'm hoping you server hosts actually have decent computers.  I'm not looking at people like Valen/Viodestructo host whatever, I'm talking about pretty much 90% of you.  I'm just worried that you're all so eager to host a server but then get super upset when you can't figure out why your dual core processor at 2 GHz and 4GB RAM (while running at least fifty other things) can't handle 10 people including yourself in your own server, or why everyone is lagging but you because your internet is the speed of a limping dog.

How is it, is it worth getting?
Very much.

I frown upon anyone who would dare pirate this game.

I just started playing, I'm still in the school bus though.

The graphics are amazing, and for some reason I'm a little bit under highest settings and jumping between 45-55 FPS.  GPU usage hovers around 90%, 60 degrees C but only 464MB of vRAM used.

The realism though, oh my God...

To this time and day right now no other game has blown my mind like Homefront just has.

Just bought it.

Am I still getting that recon drone?

People need to start hosting regularly and have a link in the OP so there isn't all this questions spam :x
I had a plan at one point to take my spare Core 2 Duo and RAM, and just buy a microATX case + low-power GPU to make a dedicated server for Minecraft.

Unfortunately my budget is directed towards either a new laptop or just surviving in general.

Off Topic / Re: "Windows Vista SUCK"

friend.

Vista is stuff because most of the games you try to play on it ar in-compatible. And my father is always getting viruses and having to reinstall the whole os
So misguided...

If by "most of the games" you mean games like SimAnt, Age of Empires II or Black & White 1, then yeah they sure as hell don't work because they're just too damn old and incompatible with today's drivers and operating systems.

I guarantee you that the next generation of Xbox/Playstation will not support the original Xbox/Playstation 2 discs.

I may host a server later on.

Probably regular survival vanilla, I honestly don't have the effort to fiddle around with mods.

The only mod that I ever want is a mod that will allow you to connect to a separate server running the Nether and allows you to jump back between server and server via the Portal, but as far as I know that isn't working or something.

My only problem with it is that my girlfriend has Civ 4 so when I try playing that again I just cant get over how much more I like Civ 5.
I miss religions from Civ4 though.

Nothing else made Civ4 more fun when you are the first to discover both Christianity and Islam.
