Still never understood why we maintained such a hard on for these rebels who never had a winning chance.

you guys nailed this pretty much but calculus is loving cool
it's the point where math becomes really interesting rather than just a death march
Math would be so much more fun and so many more people would love it and pursue it if our education system didn't teach it like it is.

Lots of people find that they actually like math and the cool stuff you can figure out with it when you get away from the hammer and nail, plug and chug, and memorize everything type of stuff.

literally says "Yes." for "Are there harmful chemicals in smokeless tobacco?"

I still don't get why you need a man in a funny hat to talk to talk to the grandpa in the sky. If the kooky bastard doesn't like what I'm doing, why can't he just tell me?
One of the purposes of the Church/priests/congregations/etc. is to be the community for which the followers can gather to.  Other purposes include keeping history, acting as the interpreters of the word and faith, acting as the spiritual leader and role model, etc.

i love it when catholics tell people what they will and won't inexcusably go to hell for
Well this is how most if not all religions operate, on the assumption that their ideas are correct and assumed true for all, even non-followers.

It might be the processor speed that's an issue. Try doing basic slow processor troubleshooting and see if that improves
Ah yes make sure to hit the turbo button on your computer before using any usb3 devices.

First restart, then try any other USB3 devices.  Are you copying the exact same files to/from?  Writing a file TO the drive will have a different speed than copying/moving it FROM the drive, and if it's not the exact same file the speed can vary.

already the Riddler comparisons are here

While that kind of comparison is absolutely outlandish and totally stupid considering other presidents have done the same, there still are parallels between his presidential campaign and Riddler's rise to power.  Note I said presidential campaign, as in, everything up til roughly a few weeks ago.  Namely fear mongering, capitalizing on middle class anger, etc.

assembly doesnt really have that much uses tbh, youd be better off learning a more efficient programming language unless your in for the esoteric part of it then im full in on you taking it
Well regardless of its practicality I don't have a choice, I'm learning it for class.  We've basically covered a good portion of C at this point I think, this class is two parts with probably 2/3rds C and 1/3rd Assembly.  Java was the first line of classes (for covering basics, data structures (trees, heaps, maps, etc.), etc.).

FWIW with this article and others consistenly filling up Facebook it pushes me more and more to delete it.  But then I have nowhere to have a storage of all my photos of me, both from my friends and myself.

Bump, anyone have any experience with Assembly?  Any protips, hints, etc. that may be of use?  Currently diving headfirst into it in class right about now.

seriously it's like a work of fiction

yesterday everyone was cheery and the sun was out (I'm in the Poconos so it's a beautiful place)
everyone was in full bloom and the trees were full of color and you could say hi to people and they'd say hi back

today it's cold, it's windy, it's cloudy, no one speaks and when they do it's in extremely hushed tones, my calc teacher played the Canadian anthem in class today, and one of the buildings on campus actually flooded
not to mention they're already setting up a protest for tonight

this is absolutely insane
it's like we all warped to a different dimension

how about you guys
Sounds kinda like my campus today where do you go

it's apparently a michael jackson outfit

still probably not the best thing to wear at a rally
Exact outfit, worn next to H.W. Bush.  Perfectly fine, if not in fact done on purpose.
