You have literally no reason to do this. Win7 is a perfectly fine OS.
And so is Windows 10. Granted you may not feel the same if Windows 10/its updates have caused crashes and worse, but you can only do so much even with a force like Microsoft with thousands of programmers for thousands of different hardware pieces, it's sorta inevitable but it isn't excusable.
On a broad level, Windows 10 gives you DX12 and a much more capable touch interface for a touch device, as well as general performance and battery life improvements. Granted this isn't much to really warrant switching, but if you're gaming on Windows 7 still you're doing it wrong unless your GPU doesn't support DX12.
For me personally, I like Win10's UI way more than 8.1's. I like its search, and how I can just smack the windows and start typing and get near instant results (granted 7 had this, but it was no where near as responsive). On top of that, Windows 10 AU now also has Bash on Ubuntu on Windows giving Windows users a Bash shell to work in which was super convenient since it came out right as I started my class that uses command line.
rather not run the risks of bricking my computer (knowing my luck) by upgrading my operating system.
sticking with windows 7 until it becomes as useless as windows xp
This won't be long. You can try sticking out for as long as their support for it will go but I guarantee it will be no where near as long as it was for XP.
