Back in the days of 2010, Blocko Hotel Peekarica used to be famous in Blockland with tens of people playing the server each time it was up.

History
It all started way back in December 2009 with someone else to recreate a public room from the real Habbo Hotel. Once the Welcome Lounge was done, ideas popped up to recreate Habbo Hotel with working navigator, public rooms, private rooms and more! In May 2010, the Alpha edition of Blocko Hotel was opened for the public. The server was then hosted until 2012, when the VPS went down taking Blocko Hotel with it. old topic >>

In 2013 I started to rebuild the project, making it better detailed and more realistic. However, the lack of interest and the removal of terrain and interiors years ago delayed the project a long time. It's 2017 now, the motivation went to the fullest and Blocko Hotel beta edition is ready to be opened to the public!

Does anyone have any good mapping resources for v20? I mean as in making the models for the maps. It'd be cool to see some maps being made again, and I'd love to participate in something like that if there are any good learning resources.
I can make a video tutorial of Torque Constructor on how to make a simple Blocko city. It's not hard, you only need a lot of patience and time if you want to do it perfect. Check out my map list on Peekarica.

also didn't someone upload and ooold version of RTB a while back? where it added a bunch of buttons to the main menu on the right side? does anyone still have it?
EDIT: oh and does someone ahve the old admin gui addon? which added buttons to the admin menu such as fetch/find? the latest one replaces the 'change map' button

EDIT2: oh and is anyone interested in a v20 discord server? so we can discuss stuff related to v20 and announce when servers are up and whatever?

I wouldn't say it's dead, but it's definitely lost popularity. If we cleaned up the forums and if players started hosting / promoting a variety of high quality servers, I'm sure it would respark interest in the game and the community. We could also help promote the game and various servers on YouTube via Let's Play videos, Let's Builds, etc. - that would definitely bring back old players or even new ones.
True.

The major blow was the removal of terrain and interiors. Players had more fun in those maps such as San Andreas or other Blocko city maps. If you were too lazy to build, you went to one of GSF maps, build some extra houses and you were done.

A long time ago I'd remember a great server that I used to play; Grand Theft Blocko SA. This server gained a lot of popularity and each user made map in Blockland was unique. There are still a lot of people that are saying that Blockland is alive, it is still alive yes, but it's very slowly decaying away. From 2008 to 2012 there were much more players on the forums and game.

Some months ago I put this video together and hoping that Badspot will do the right thing by hosting an older Blockland version and updating that constantly.

I want to learn how to TorqueScript, because no tutorials on the web are useful enough to help me make add-ons, and I prefer text tutorials over video tutorials.
(Although I'll watch Crown's video tutorials.. :cookie:)
Start with Java coding it's somehow similar to Torque Script.

Hey guys,


Some months ago I posted my project Fallout Heerlen. A map made for Blockland Classic Mod.

When I made The 100 intro for fun I am seriously thinking right now to make series about Fallout Heerlen. If some of you liked The 100 series you should check out my fan intro.

It would be fun to see The 100 in a Blockland theme with realistic scenarios how the world will be like after nuclear war.

Ideas are welcome.

Bump. Going to release a patch soon for version 9: spawning vehicle(s) with a command, spraycan emitter more realistic, lower jump height just like the original Vanilla had, realistic jetpack with possible emitters.

After that, version 10 will be in progress and released somewhere this Summer.

Greetings, please excuse me for dropping in, but in version 9.2 (the one in IndieDB) you can't crouch,even though the CROUCH command was binded to Shift.
Also, I'd have a request: can you somehow make that every commands\keybinds (like the Admin Panel [CTRL+A]) can be seen in the Options menu? and another thing: can you make a "better" pause menu? like the one in the retail. It would help some newbies. (I'm used to... "another mod" that recently died,so I'm kinda used to these shortcuts)

Also,I LOVE this player model. It's just awesome :)
Crouch never worked since I ported the game to TGE 1.5.2. I think a small piece of code has to be rewritten that plays the crouch animation.
