I trash picked this wreckage of a computer near a dumpster.
It's a HP pavilion dv6t-6c00
Specs are:
8gb of ram
Has wireless
AMD Radeon GPU
Intel CPU running at forget-If-I-Know ghz
No harddrive installed but it still has the bracket.
Windows 7 product key is still readable on the bottom.
I installed a copy of windows 7 onto a spare drive I had then I tried booting off of it...
One problem though: I got the bracket out but somehow can't get it back in even with videos and I can't figure out why. It installs just fine without any harddrive at all in it.
I'm considering just installing the harddrive without any bracket at all and see if it even bothers to attempt a boot.
But here's the thing:
1. I dont think I can even hear a fan running.
2. That dent seriously scares me that the screen is going to be impossible to replace.
3. This laptop might have the stufftiest specs in the world and I might end up wasting money on fixing it.
Should I just consider this laptop completely and totally forgeted and sell it on ebay as-is or something?
