I expected this to be coming. It was only realistic. They aren't particularly special to command.

Also with air travel nowadays it's possible to get around the halfway world in a 18 or so hours.

Because they are, hard to make, maintain, probably takes years to train the mechanics, the aircraft costs a forgetload to operate, ammunition is probably special made and in that case also expensive and hard to make.

A news report comes on a TV screen in the rec room, talking about today's action. They have some mouth breathing leutenant come on screen as an "eyewitness report," or some stuff. After the short report, the channel is changed.

"I didn't know they let sociopaths into public relations, sounds like a contradiction in terms," I say to the squadron mate in the room.

The requisitions laptop shows nothing new, at least for now, so I requisition some nice research instead put the laptop away and head to the rec room.

The MiG lands easily without the heavier ordnance and fuel loaded on. I taxi back to the hanger and jump out. I proceed to wash up and grab a bite to eat, after which, I return to the barracks. Captain Obrad and Miller are talking. I lay on my bed and start fooling around with the requisitions computer to see if I can get anything new.

I reload the Makarov, and holster it. The other gun the man dropped is also a Makarov. I pick it up, unload it, and stuff in my pocket. I pick up the case and start walking towards the village, which is only a couple hundred meters away.

I line up the next target for the Kh-25 and let it go. It's an IFV. After release I bank and head around for another strafing run.
