Modification Help / MS3D model appearing dark.

In MS3D the 3D model preview is very dark. Only the top faces are sort of light. The textures aren't every dark, I used the same textures on different models and they aren't very dark. It's not too dark with it flat shaded just textured and smooth shaded. I want to make an icon for the weapon I'm making but in the icon I want textures and It's too dark. How do I make it brighter?

I've always wondered if I was spelling "Gray" correctly. Or maybe it was "Grey". I looked it up and I found that both ways are correct and then I found this acronym...

It's spelled grAy in America
It's spelled grEy in England

It's always bugged me whenever I would mention gray but I hope this helps you.

And apparently gray and grey are 2 completely different colors. Grey's is lighter than gray.

Modification Help / High Facecount models

Can somebody give me a starting point to the highest amount of faces (triangles) a model can have without being too high in faces? I have 3 models with 156, 192, and 152 triangles. Are any of them too high?

Modification Help / Player Speeds

What is the easiest way to change the speed in which a player crouches, walks, and runs without having to create a datablock for every speed? I want it so I can change the speed in which the player moves for the rest of their lifetime.

What I am planning on doing is making it so when the player is more hurt they move slower.

I came up with this completely original idea. Could we have weapons from that generic FPS game in Blockland? I'm sure all of you have played it and know what weapons I'm talking about and what they look like so I don't have to explain or post pictures.

General Discussion / What can Blockland handle?

I've realized exactly how powerful Blockland's engine is. Not the Torque engine, the edits that Badspot made. I find it interesting how I can render 100,000 bricks in single player without any lag. That's about 600,000 faces to render at once. (Maybe less because of culling and what you can actually view and see.) Share your thoughts about the Blockland engine and it's potential. Maybe even post some screenshots of some extremes.

Cadillacs are one of my favorite type of cars. I was wondering if we could a vehicle like it in Blockland. My favorite models are the ones from the 80's or the late 70's. So I was hoping for a vehicle of it. Is this a good idea?

I was wanting a model like the one above or maybe one a little different but I'm open to other ideas. Was also hoping that the top part of the car could be a different shade than the rest.

I have a dark map with dark lighting but the water is very bright. How do I make the water darker without using a different texture?
