You just don't get how important this was to many people.

People die all the time and people don't circlejerk one another over it ten years later. That is unhealthy if nothing else.

It's not like the Taliban and Saddam's regime were overthrown, not at all.

We went in their with vastly superior technology and resources and still wasted trillions of dollars and many lives. Further, that kind of brutal regime is only going to stay away while we waste more money to stay in there.

Well, you're right about all of that.

I don't really believe in making a huge fuss over this one tragedy but it should at least be noted at some point. It wasn't the worst thing that ever happened but it doesn't mean it wasn't bad.

I'm just tired of hearing about this every year after it happens and any time the numbers "911" appear anywhere. It was TEN YEARS AGO.

Why do you think I visited the 9/11 and talked about my friend?

Circlejerking in this topic has nothing to do with honoring your friend.

I hope everyone also remembers the hundreds of thousands of civilian lives lost during the US invasion of the Middle East.

^^^^

Every 9/11, I remember the fun times we had together, all of my friends are close to me.

That's fine, but we don't need a topic for people's private grieving.

I don't think a lot of you realize that dying from a bee sting or dying from slipping and falling are no where near as bad as having dyed in the attack. People burned to death and stuff.

Well, those two ways of dying are pretty horrific. If you die of a bee sting you slowly swell until your own body strangles you and if you die from slipping you probably lie there dying slowly for hours. Not that it matters once the person is dead.

You don't have to support killing people in the middle east to give a stuff about 9/11.

No, but if anything 9/11 should be about remembering the people our own countries killed.

Unlike you kids, I think about other people. Some people I know have lost their mothers, fathers, brothers, etc. I'm also honoring my friend that died.

Age: 16, you're a kid too.

I think about other people as well. When people die, the people  who loved them mourn for a while, and then go on with their lives. Maybe they privately honor them on the day they die. What they don't do 10 years after their relatives die is cry in the streets and demand sympathy.

ya, any of you richard wads out their being forgeters about this need to shut up and get the forget out.

I lost my Grand parents on flight 93, my uncle in the falling of the South tower, and nearly lost my father in the same crash but his business meeting was cancelled so he got to leave early.

If you're still in the mourning stage then PRIVATELY GRIEVE. What you shouldn't do is make circlejerk offtopic threads.

So stfu Al-Qaeda supporting, un patriotic motherforgeters.  Honor those who have passed and no longer with us.

"Unpatriotic" is not an insult.

E: Nor do I support al-Qaeda, I just don't think you still need to be on about this especially since most of you were toddlers when it happened.

You guys need to shut up, I honor the people who died in this tragedy, including my friend.

You don't honor most dead people 10 years after they die, especially people you don't know.

It may be 10 years, but are we not allowed to mourn? If you're so loving pissed, why not just ignore it? Families lost cousins, fathers, mothers, children, aunts, uncles. And don't give me, "Oh, they'd be disappointed that we're mourning them!" Because you don't know that. One last thing, are you the country's loving fan club or something? How do you know it'll cause more problems? Ten years ago was a sad day. Let us who want to remember do so.

Sure, if people lost people close to them then they should mourn privately (although still being in the mourning stages 10 years later is considered a mental disorder). Since I'm guessing the majority of people here did not lose close ones in 9/11 we don't need a topic, and wouldn't need one even if everyone here had lost someone.

And it'll cause more problems because allowing fear-mongering and nationalism to run rampant together is never a good thing.

forget me, you're still on about this 10 years later? Everyone dead is dead now. Mixed moping and undue nationalism isn't going to do jack stuff but cause more problems.

Yeah, because most of the "race" are various species of mindless drones. Everything is biological, and the race lives around a gas giant.

Also, you're on thin loving ice and I will kick you out of this game without a second thought if you act stupid.
